Raging hormones, mean girl cliques, terrible haircuts - most of us will agree that our High School years were some of the toughest of them all.

And that includes celebrities. Just because we now only see them perfectly groomed, it doesn't mean that the rich and famous didn't go through the same teenage torment we all did.

If you need proof, look no further than their High School photos. From the cringe- worthy fashion choices to the painfully awkward poses, these images show that even the genetically blessed and supremely talented went through that awkward stage.

So as we prepare to watch the drama unfold when Riverdale premieres on The CW this Thursday January 26, take a look at these celebrity photos and see how many of the soon-to-be-famous faces you can recognize.

Fast-forward several decades and these awkward High School students all found fame and fortune. From the curly-haired teenage George Clooney who went on to take Hollywood by storm to the geeky senior who cast off his preppy look to become Snoop Dogg, these celebrities show us that no matter who you were at High School, things can most definitely get better.
