'I felt vulnerable': Emma Stone on her La La Land fears and sadness at saying goodbye to the film as she was so close to co-star Ryan Gosling
They play two young and aspiring performers who fall in love a their big breaks appear on the horizon.
And it seems that their on-screen chemistry translated into a real-life friendship, as Emma Stone revealed she missed her co-star Ryan Gosling after La La Land wrapped.
Speaking on Thursday's This Morning, the 29-year-old star revealed that she felt 'sad' after work on the film ended, as she and the Drive star had spent so long together.

The actress admitted that the film had been a 'challenge' to work on, but alluded to a strong new friendship with her leading man.
In an interview with the show's stateside reporter, Sam Rubin, the actress described the sadness she felt when production on the film finished.
Speaking of the close bond that had grown between them, the Easy A actress revealed: 'I was very sad when we were done, because we had also rehearsed this for so long and we honestly spent like five months together… so it was very sad to close it out.'

Speaking of the complexities of starring in an all-singing, all-dancing - quite literally - production, Emma said:
'It’s vulnerable for sure to be singing, it’s a part of yourself people don’t necessarily hear if you’re not a karaoke fan.'
And it seems that Ryan agreed, as the Gangster Squad star admitted: 'It was a challenge and we had a great time around us, wonderful coaches, very talented people.'
The pair star as Mia and Sebastian in the Golden Globe-winning film, which tells the tale of a jazz pianist and a young actress falling in love in Hollywood.

The musical, written and directed by Damien Chazzell, is one of the most hotly-tipped films this awards season; having already broken records at the Globes with its seven gongs.
Speaking of her experience at previous glittering ceremonies, Emma said she'd never had a bad experience, explaining:
'I’ve been lucky enough to meet a good amount of the people, but before I used to feel like I was in a weird fever dream. Now I see people and I’ve worked with people, so it’s different... It's so bizarre.'
Earlier this month Emma picked up a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, while Ryan also snagged the Best Actor gong in the same category.
