This application requires joining the Windows Insider Program (https://insider.windows.com) and installing the Windows 10 Creators Update (Build 14800 or greater)

Features

  • Sketch a flat drawing with the inflate tool and watch it instantly balloon into a puffy, 3D object.
  • Personalized stickers! Stick pictures of your dog, a rainbow, or your friends' faces right onto your 3D models.
  • Add some texture. Use the sticker tool to try out hardwood, soft grass or other textures you have saved on your PC.
  • More realistic tools, including a spray can, oil brush, and calligraphy pen.

Great but still lacking

It's decent as a starting point but it lacks major tools necessary for a robust 3d model creation app, namely tools to transform (stretch, mold, etc.) 3d shapes and there are no layers, forcing you to work with all your junk in one workspace, significantly decreasing the speed and effeciency at which content can be made trough this app.

Error on Download-Developers at Microsoft need to fix

Whoever is releasing this product to the store is just not following through properly on this release preview.. Microsoft isn't what it used to be. The fact that we have to use the store mechanism and it doesn't tells me a lot about the quality of releases provided by Microsoft development these days. Makes me not have a lot of hope for Microsoft and the new devices they were showing in the preview.. prerelease build 160916-1700

Early attempt is great.

This app is a Preview folks. As such it is a fine program. There is room to grow and I'm sure the developers have great ideas. It is not meant to be 3d Studio like the original MS Paint was not Photoshop. It is a fast efficient tool to quickly add 3d to the upcoming 3d hybrid world we are going to have to develop for in the months and years ahead.

Fantastic tool

I don't know why people are having problems. I installed Paint 3D Preview from the Store with zero issues. It runs GREAT!! This will be a fun tool to play with.

Incredible

Most people are complaining since you need to have an update or something to get this, but I got the update and used this. I love it, I especially love how you can create things into 3D! Definitely an improvement on the last version of Microsoft Paint!
