Tell Donald Trump not to appoint corporate cronies in our government.
The climate crisis is the definitive challenge of our time, and our reliance on fossil fuels is driving it. Other energy sources also pollute our air and water and threaten our health. But energy use doesn’t have to make us, or the planet, sick. That’s why Friends of the Earth promotes conservation and clean energy — including wind, solar and geothermal power — and why we fight to end our unhealthy dependence on dirty sources including coal, oil, nuclear and biofuels.
Our food and farming systems are among the most complex and important interconnections we have with the ecosystems that sustain us. Friends of the Earth is working to rapidly transition our food system to one that is sustainable, healthy and just — the food system of the future. We carry out market and policy campaigns aimed at protecting pollinators, reforming animal agriculture and reducing the harmful environmental and social impacts of industrial, chemical intensive agriculture, while advocating for expansion of regenerative organic and agroecological farming systems that are healthier for people, animals and the planet. We also work to ensure the safe and precautionary management of chemicals and emerging technologies.
The world's oceans support countless forms of life, as do our forests. Unfortunately, oceans and the tens of millions of people who live near them are under threat from oil spills, air pollution, sewage releases, aquaculture and unnatural ocean noise, and around the world, resource extraction and deforestation are destroying forests and displacing the people who live in them.
Too often environmental destruction is profitable for corporations. Our economics for the earth project aims to create a more environmentally sustainable and socially just world by transforming financial and economic systems. We work to redirect tax policies and public spending to make polluters pay for the costs of their pollution, and to drive the transition to a cleaner, low-carbon economy.

It’s time to combat climate change and earn royalties for Earth.
