Container Engine schedules your containers into the cluster and manages them automatically based on requirements you define (such as CPU and memory). Container Engine Pricing
Container Engine charges a flat fee per hour per cluster for Container Engine's cluster management, depending on the number of nodes in that cluster. Compute Engine instance pricing applies to nodes, until a cluster is deleted. Learn more in our pricing guide.

Increasing a cluster to 6 or more nodes automatically begins charging. Resizing down to
5 or fewer nodes automatically removes any charge going forward.

Container Engine cluster pricing includes hosting and maintenance of the Kubernetes master.
