The feeding frenzy begins at precisely 12:01 a.m. on Friday. The first of July signals the start of NBA free agency and with the salary cap increasing and several big names available this is expected to be a wild and unpredictable couple of weeks. The Knicks are in the market for a center, a shooting guard and a back-up point guard. Team president Phil Jackson has the available cap space to fill out his roster assuming the Knicks don’t land Kevin Durant. Or LeBron James. Or Dwyane Wade. Hey, there’s no law against dreaming.
