These terms and conditions apply to your magazine subscription. In these terms and conditions the subscriber is referred to as "you", and Fairfax New Zealand Limited is referred to as "Fairfax", "we" or "us". We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. By purchasing a magazine subscription with Fairfax you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Payment
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express (Amex) credit cards and use the secure DPS payment system. All prices include GST and are in New Zealand dollars. Subscriptions are non-refundable and non-transferable between titles, but may be transferred to an alternative recipient. When paying for a subscription by credit card please note this is a one off payment for the cost of the subscription for the length of the subscription period. We are currently unable to offer direct debit as a method of payment via Mags4Gifts. If you would like to purchase a magazine by direct debit and spread your payment out across the year please visit our website www.getmags.co.nz for Cuisine, NZ House & Garden, NZ Gardener and TV Guide. For all other magazines please refer to the contact details in the Contact Us tab.
2. Customer Details
Any errors made in providing details to Fairfax are your responsibility Fairfax will not be liable for consequences that relate to any errors; including but not limited to failure to send magazines to the correct address. If you change your address or contact details, you need to advise Fairfax as soon as possible to ensure that the change happens on the correct issue.
3. Renewing a subscription
Your magazine subscription will not automatically renew at the end of your subscription period. Before the end of your subscription period you will receive a renewal letter asking whether you wish to re-subscribe and providing instructions how to.
4. Cancellation
Please note that our subscription offers are non-refundable. In some cases we will refund any monies owing to you (i.e. under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993) but this will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Alternatively you can transfer your remaining issues to a nominated party. Requests for cancellations will be actioned as soon as possible; however, any refund given can take up to three weeks.
5. Delivery
All prices are inclusive of delivery costs. Your subscription will commence once we have received payment from you and will begin with the next issue to go on sale unless otherwise specified.
• For weekly publications please allow up to three weeks for your first magazine.
• For monthly publications please allow up to four to six weeks for your first magazine.
• For bi-monthly and quarterly publications your subscription will begin with the next available issue.
• For international delivery, delivery time will vary dependant on magazine and country of delivery.
If a missed delivery occurs please let us know by calling 0800 MAGS4GIFTS, depending on your situation, we will either send you a replacement magazine or extend your current subscription period.
6. Back issues
Back issues are available for purchase where we have the issue in stock, please call 0800 MAGS4GIFTS to see if the issue you are interested in is available.
7. Promotions
From time to time Fairfax Magazines may run prize draws for its subscribers or offer gifts to its new or returning subscribers. Subscription prize draws are available to all current subscribers at the published expiry date of the promotion. Subscription gift offers are available to those subscribers who sign up for a new subscription or renew a subscription after the commencement date and before the published expiry date of the promotion. The number of gifts available is limited and once exhausted the offer will be at an end. If gift/prize is unavailable, Fairfax in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute this gift/s to the equal value and/or specification. Fairfax is neither responsible nor liable for any damage to the gift/prize whilst in transit.
Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash, exchanged or transferred. Subscription offers on www.mags4gifts.co.nz are not valid in conjunction with any other subscription offer. Prizes draws are not available to international subscribers.
8. Telemarketing
If you receive a promotional telephone call from a Fairfax representative and you sign up to a magazine subscription during that telephone call you have for a short time the ability to cancel the subscription. You will have five working days to cancel your subscription without penalty. If you cancel the subscription any money you have already paid toward the subscription will be refunded to you. Please note this termination clause only applies to subscription offers made via telemarketing.
9. Gift Vouchers
Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They can be redeemed on any item for sale on www.mags4gifts.co.nz. (Please note: Vouchers are currently not able to be redeemed on digital editions).
Spending over the value of the gift voucher will mean that the balance needs to be paid for by credit card.
Spending under the value of the gift voucher means that the customer will have the balance credited to their mags4gifts account to be used at a later date but within 12 months of the initial date of purchase.
10. Privacy Policy
We will protect and maintain your privacy in accordance with our Privacy Policy which you can view here.
11. No Liability
Fairfax nor its staff or agents shall be liable for any cost, loss or damage whatsoever arising as a result of a failure to act on delivery instructions.
