BlackBerry ID

What is a BlackBerry ID?

Your BlackBerry® ID username and password gives you access to BlackBerry websites, apps, and services. It helps sync your information with your computer1, and transfer that information when you change devices. One BlackBerry ID can be used for all your BlackBerry devices.

Why do I need a BlackBerry ID?

Access to apps and services

BlackBerry ID also gives you access to the following:

BlackBerry® World™
Sign in with your BlackBerry ID for a customized experience.

BlackBerry® Messenger
Communicate in real time and share photos and videos.

BlackBerry® Protect™
Use on a computer to locate or wipe your smartphone if it’s lost.

BlackBerry® Link1
Sync and organize content between your BlackBerry® 10 devices and computer.

Documents To Go™ app1
View and edit Microsoft® Word, Excel® and PowerPoint® files on your smartphone.

Easy syncing with your computer1

If you have a BlackBerry 10 device, you can sync media and documents between devices and with your computer on the same Wi-Fi® network or over a USB connection. When you sign into BlackBerry Link with your BlackBerry ID, it automatically recognizes your BlackBerry 10 devices with the same BlackBerry ID so that you can manage and sync your content.

Easy device switches

If you lose or change your BlackBerry® smartphone or tablet, your BlackBerry ID will remember your information and apps to make the switch easy.
