UPDATE -- MERCER COUNTY -- A 20-year-old man took Mercer County Sheriff's deputies on a two-hour long pursuit.... on a farm tractor. "Dustin Clouse is now in the Mercer County Jail, but his slow speed pursuit by deputies was all caught on camera." A police pursuit on the back roads in Mercer County. Deputies were after Clouse, after he rammed several cruisers and parked cars and tried to hit a deputy. Sure doesn't seem like anything unusual, but it is. "There goes the runaway tractor," said Ashley Baumer in her video she recorded of the pursuit on her Facebook page. You read that right, Baumer said "runaway tractor," as she recorded the whole thing on her cell phone. "All of a sudden in the middle we saw a tractor going as fast as it could," said Lauren Buchanan. Buchanan also saw the slow speed pursuit and stopped to take it all in. "Everybody that was out getting ice cream, we were dying of laughter," said Buchanan. "In my 23 almost 23 years I've never experienced anything like this," said Captain Martin Emerine from the Mercer County Sheriff's Office. Captain Emerine said Clouse reached a high speed of 15 miles per hour. Deputies deployed stop sticks as he drove along route 49 just inside the Ohio state line, but they didn't slow him down. "Our choices was either the tractor was going to run out of gas, the tractor was going to quit working or he was simply going to eventually pull over," said Emerine. Finally, two hours, and three counties later, on a rural road, Clouse stopped the tractor. After several attempts to get him off, deputies tased him, and then he complied. But for those who watched Clouse take deputies on a pursuit they'll never forget, they're just happy it ended peacefully. "I'm not gonna lie this is like the highlight of my summer being home," said Buchanan, "I'm just glad that he ended up being safe." The 20-year-old man is now facing fleeing and eluding charges but he could force even more after the prosecutor reviews the case. Reps with the Adams County Sheriff's Office told the Mercer County Sheriff that Clouse is autistic and they've dealt with him before. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MERCER COUNTY -- An Indiana man is in jail today after being accused of leading law enforcement officers on a two-state slow-speed pursuit in a farm tractor. Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey says Dustin D. Clouse, 20, of Decatur, Indiana, began running from police in Adams County, Indiana, about 8:30 p.m. Monday. Authorities in Indiana called Mercer County dispatch to advise them that Clouse was on the run in a Case International 5130 Farm Tractor. According to Adams County officials, Clouse had already struck several vehicles and damaged property while in Indiana. A Mercer County deputy deployed stop sticks as Clouse approached -- slowly -- from Indiana. He reportedly swerved in an attempt to strike that deputy and tried to ram several patrol cars. The low-speed pursuit continued through Mercer County in the area of Chattanooga, Strable Road and Burrville Road. The tractor eventually broke down on Burrville Road, just north of Strable Road
