We were here last year in Goreme, Turkey. We decided not to miss the famous Whirling Dervishes. It was something totally mesmerizing, seeing the men turning in circles and entering an ecstatic trance through music and the recitation of Islamic prayer. Something not to be missed! I came across this group of colourfully dressed Rajasthani women just on the outskirts of Jaisalmer Fort in Rajastan India. They were walking together in a group.I was not sure where they had been or where they were going to,but they made a perfect back drop with Jaisalmer Fort in the background. Photo: Michael Hing -

Cirence is a stunning place, located in Turkey but with a very distinct Greek style. Who knows what these old ladies were gossiping about on this sunny morning. They remind me of the old ladies from my home town in Spain and my old grandmother from a time long ago. Photo: Jose Cincunegui -
Hsi Paw, Myanmar was in chaos. The Shan rebels were warning tourists to stay away. The roads were shutting down. And, as usual, the trains were running well behind schedule. On the journey back to Mandalay, the locals entertained themselves by watching the countryside... Or playing games with the tourists aboard! Photo: Caitlin Gordon -
Looking down at the Manta Rays circling Lighthouse Bommie off Lady Elliot Island on the Southern Great Barrier Reef, it's hard to get a real feel for how big they really are. Diving down maybe 10m below the surface to the depth limit of both my camera and body, the rays still metres away, you begin to gauge their full size. Fully grown adult Giant Oceanic Manta Rays can reach an astonishing 7m in width and 1600kg in mass. Photo: James Vodicka -

On a recent visit to the isle of Wight in the UK an early morning walk on Tennyson Down began with this magic look back to the little town of Freshwater, sitting in a cove of the nearby chalk cliffs. Photo: Greg Vale -

Exuma Island, The Bahamas June 2016. Summer in the Bahamas is hot and humid and sometimes a cold beer is the only thing that feels refreshing. Storms are a daily occurance, usually more than one. It's easy to feel like your miles away from anywhere or anyone on Exuma Island, and a drive down to Little Exuma seems even further away. Sitting at Santana's, a local beach bar, watching a distant thunderstorm pass over the turquoise waters, the sound of the laughing gull's call and no one else around, a perfect day in paradise. Khuri is a small mud walled village near Jaisalmer in Rajasthan India. The desert surrounding the village is particularly beautiful with large sand dunes.I photographed these camel drivers with their camels at sunset on the dunes. It was a partcularly tranquil place compared to the hustle and bustle of much of India. It took a few attempts to nail this shot but what can I say, it isn't exactly easy to come across a turtle willing to chill on the surface whilst you dive below them, frantically adjusting your camera settings as you swim upside down and backwards, looking through the viewfinder and trying to line up the body of the turtle with the late afternoon sun. So yeah, my favourite shot of my recent trip to Lady Elliot Island in the Southern Great Barrier Reef also happened to be the shot that produced the most spectacularly failed attempts. Credit goes to this patient little guy who hung around long enough for me to sort myself out and take the photograph I had envisioned and dreamed of creating. Photo: James Vodicka -
