Open Question
I'm a single SC, intending to buy a small hdb unit (2-room or 3-room) in the west once I turn 35. Can I start to view the units once I turn 35 in February or must I wait until this calendar year is over? I have about $70k of cpf in my OA account. Do I need plenty of cash for an unit of about $300k?

Hi,

Yes, you may start to search for a unit now, however documentation (OTP) have to wait until you are full 35 years old then can be done.

You may need to get assessment of your mortgage loan eligibility. Assuming you could take up to 80% loan from bank, your cpf is enough to cover the 15% cash part and only 5% cash is needed. Do take note also cash needed whenever there is any cash above valuation. While for HDB concessionary loan (which single SC income shall not more than $6k/month), which can take up to 90%.

Should you have any queries, feel free to contact me at my mobile no. I would gladly be of a service to you.
Good day ahead!

Evening,

You can opt to start viewing units now. Getting your mortgage loan assessment done would be helpful too. With these figures, we have feasibility on the purchase power.

Do feel free to contact me for any cheerier discussion.
