A man who stole a dying man's credit card while others tried in vain to save his life after a car crash in Hervey Bay will spend six months in jail.
Shannon James Davis, 28, used the dead man's credit card to buy alcohol and other items, with police at the time calling it a "disgusting and callous act".
Davis was ordered to remain in jail until June 14 after pleading guilty in the Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Wednesday to a string of charges, including stealing by looting.
