My first contact with this festival was in 2012. That was third edition of this festival and it took place in nearby Hungarian little village just over the Slovenian-Hungarian border. My band played there and we were overcome with friendliness and enthusiasm of the crew who promoted the little festival.
Now, the crew became Ignite the Undeground Promotion and this year it is time for the ninth edition of the festival. Believe me, it is going to be awesome judging by the first confirmed bands and it is only the beginning. Lets see the first confirmed bands:
Skywalker, a Czech Hardcore act with Pop-punk influence. While almost constantly on tour, the band managed play in various clubs and festivals all around the Europe and even sucessfully toured Canada.
Krešo i Kisele Kiše, a Ska-Punk with no boundaries coming from Croatia.
Slander a crazy pizza mafia hardcore act coming from Venice, Italy. They sure know how to party.
IN-SANE (SLO), legendary hardcore-punk band from Gornja Radgona.
MISSSTAND, a fast punk rock band from Klagenfurt, Austria.
For all the skinheads here comes a street punk/Oi! band from Hungary, Derkovbois.
Panicka, local punk rock heroes. This festival wouldn’t exist without this band.
Eyecontact, local stoner machine is coming back this year.
Young punk rockers from Gornja Radgona, The Insurgent.
Senf, Croatian crossover will make you headbang.

Siniestro presents the first teaser of the forthcoming video “Arctic Blood”, the title track of the EP.
Ukrainian metal band IGNEA has released a new official video for the song ‘Seytanu Akbar’. The aim of this video is to reflect the atmosphere usually present at the IGNEA shows. It has been recorded at The Best Ukrainian Metal Act 2017, the annual awards for the top Ukrainian metal bands where IGNEA has entered the top 3 bands.
‘Seytanu Akbar’ is the song opening IGNEA’s LP The Sign of Faith. Despite provocative title of the song, the band’s intention is to carry the idea of peace. According to the band’s words: “What we want to say is that there is no reasonable cause to kill other people, be it regime, faith or moral principles. We mainly speak about islamic terrorism in this song, as one of the social plagues of 21st century, taking lots of innocent lives. However, this applies to every human on Earth, regardless of their religion.”
IGNEA mixes melodic metal with symphonic and oriental vibes. So far, the band has released 1 EP, 2 singles, and 1 LP, has gained nearly 4 million views and 26,000 subscribers on YouTube, over 18,000 followers on Facebook, and over 17,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. IGNEA has performed at the top Ukrainian festivals and has opened the show for Orphaned Land in Kiev, UA.
Recently, IGNEA has also joined the roster of The Flaming Arts Agency that includes such famous bands as Behemoth, Venom, Bethlehem, Hate, Keep of Kalessin, Igorrr, Aeternam, and many others.
Currently, the band is about to record new singles and shoot a video. In May, the band is heading off to Europe for an EU tour (TBA) as well as to the RockMetalCampFest (France).

Long awaited new album by Talog is out! I was eager to listen to this one, so here is my opinion about the album.
There was a time in the beginning of 2000s when I discovered dark ambient and dungeon synth music through none other than Mortiis. I used to listen to Stargate album by Mortiis a lot and thought I knew everything about that kind of music. Then I discovered there is a whole beautiful undeground dark ambient and dungeon synth scene in the world and combining that with my love for horror music it became one of my favourite music for a long time.
Now, 15 years later I still love that kind of music, and I love Talog. Hailing from the town of Požega, in Slavonian grey eastern fields that are poor and barren now, with little or no hope for prosperity and survival, this one man dark ambient/dungeon synth band by Kktz, the veteran and legendary character from the Croatian and world underground scene perfectly pictures the bleakness and hopelessness of the area where it is made. The title of the album means Haunted Valley in Croatian language. The album consists of three tracks with titles in Croatian language. Two being longer and one shorter song. There is a minimalistic almost ritual spirit in some melodies but there is also some epic fullness to the song structures, which doesnt surprise me knowing that Kktz has a profound appetite for epic but raw underground black metal emotions. This dark art that Talog creates is definitely not for everyone because if you are not into that kind of emotions you will not like this music. I love it.
This is by far the most mature and complex Talog release yet.

Horrorpunk has often been welcomed guest on the pages of this zine, so it is nice to have it again and this time I review the record by Dead United.
Besides US of A of course, Germany is one of the biggest and richest scenes concerning horrorpunk in the world. I will only mention great bands like The Crimson Ghosts, The Other, Jamey Rottencorpse, The Mutant Reavers etc….
Dead United are one of the younger bands in the scene coming from Wurzburg area which is I think in the beautiful Bavaria. I am not sure if this is the official release but I got it from the band, so what the fuck, I should listen to it and review it. The album contains 16 songs of horror, blood, melody and insanity. Musically Dead United move more in a punkrock and not metal or hardcore area. Vocals kinda remind me of Michale Graves and the music reminds of some of the earlier The Other albums. I prefer my horrorpunk very melodic so, this material lacks some anthemic melodies and memorable choruses that make you hum them every second of the day. But, this is quality horrorpunk that avoided the trap of being somebodys clone what many bands unfortunately are nowadays. You should give a spin to “Bug Attack”m “We are the Fiends” and “Underworld Cats” to name just some of the songs. I am sure we will hear more of Dead United in the coming years.

Bonehunter come from Finland, town called Oulu. This unholy trio plays blackened metal punk with all the dirtiness and raw dark energy they could muster to play their shit.
Vulkan Records released a collection of their tracks from their various 7 inch singles, ep-s and various unreleased tracks on one cd.
This release contains 21 tracks of pure and sexy metal punk and with titles like “Saturday Night Nasty Deed”, “Carnivore Porno Whore”, “Menstrual Vampire”full of black humour, occult, gore and punkish vibe you just must season your Saturday afternoon with. This is fine music for drinking, shouting and slamming around trying to punch your friend next to you between the eyes only for the fun of it. This music is so good and I am really grateful that there are such labels as Vulkan Records that believe and put out bands like Bonehunter. This is a must for all fans of early Sodom, Carnivore, Hellhammer with a healthy dose of Discharge and Japanese hardcore punk style. Put your fists in the air and go do some graveyard love! Excellent!
