A woman has died following a crash on Logan Road at Underwood.
Police said a car hit a concrete barrier before crashing into a power pole, bringing the power pole down as well. The crash happened just before 5pm
The 67-year-old female passenger of the car was pronounced dead at the scene, and the 69-year-old male driver was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
The forensic crash unit are now investigating the crash, with Logan Road still closed to traffic. Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
A police spokesman saidthe car also collided with another vehicle that sustained minor damage.
Three fire crews also attended the crash, along with police and Energex.
