A Southern Highlands woman with a cancelled licence recorded a blood alcohol reading almost six times the legal limit on Sunday morning.
Police said the woman's four-wheel drive was seen swerving across the lane multiple times on Moss Vale Road, near Bowral, at about 4am.
After a roadside breath test, the 33-year-old was taken to Bowral Police Station. A breath analysis returned a reading of 0.281.
The woman, who had had her licence cancelled in 2007, was charged with high range PCA and driving with a cancelled licence.
A blood alcohol concentration of 0.15 is required for a high range PCA charge.
The driver, from Moss Vale, was given conditional bail to appear at Moss Vale Local Court in February.
