Recovery or Recover can refer to:
James Andrew Arthur (born 2 March 1988) is a British singer-songwriter who won the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012. His debut single, "Impossible", was released through Syco Music after the final and debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart in its first week of release. It has since gone on to sell over 1,289,000 copies in the UK, and 2.5 million copies worldwide. He released his self-titled debut album in November 2013 and it debuted and peaked at number two on the UK Albums Chart.
Just weeks after the release of his debut album, Arthur became embroiled in a homophobia controversy, which led to iTunes offering refunds for the album. After this, Arthur parted ways with Syco. In 2015, he signed a new deal with Columbia Records and will release his second album in 2016.
Arthur was born in Middlesbrough, to an English mother, Shirley Ashworth, and a Scottish father, Neil Arthur. Neil is a delivery driver, but also used to be a DJ and drummer for many years, whilst Shirley was a fashion model and later a sales and marketing professional. Neil and Shirley split up when James was one year old and each settled with new partners a few years after their divorce. They hardly spoke with one another for more than 20 years, but they agreed to attend James's audition together in a family reunion to support him.
Horror is a film genre seeking to elicit a negative emotional reaction from viewers by playing on the audience's primal fears. Inspired by literature from authors like Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, and Mary Shelley, horror films have existed for more than a century. The macabre and the supernatural are frequent themes, and may overlap with the fantasy, supernatural fiction and thriller genres.
Horror films often deal with viewers' nightmares, fears, revulsions and terror of the unknown. Plots within the horror genre often involve the intrusion of an evil force, event, or personage into the everyday world. Prevalent elements include ghosts, extraterrestrials, vampires, werewolves, demons, gore, torture, vicious animals, evil witches, monsters, zombies, cannibals, psychopaths, and serial killers. Movies about the supernatural are not necessarily horrific.
The first depictions of supernatural events appear in several of the silent shorts created by the film pioneer Georges Méliès in the late 1890s, the best known being Le Manoir du Diable, which is sometimes credited as being the first horror film. Another of his horror projects was 1898's La Caverne maudite (a.k.a. The Cave of the Unholy One, literally "the accursed cave").Japan made early forays into the horror genre with Bake Jizo and Shinin no Sosei, both made in 1898. The era featured a slew of literary adaptations, with the works of Poe and Dante, among others. In 1910, Edison Studios produced the first film version of Frankenstein, following the 1908 film adaptation of the novel Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The macabre nature of the source materials used made the films synonymous with the horror film genre.
Matthew Faulkner, now a 22-year-old graduate of Canisius college in Buffalo New York, gives us the story of a traumatic car accident and brain injury that changed his life. In March of 2009, his senior year of high school, Matt was in the back seat of a car when the vehicle he was riding in was T-boned by a pickup truck, leaving Matt in a several month-long coma. Matt was unconscious for weeks on end, with doctors unsure if he would survive and at risk of being pulled from life support. Luckily Matt was Mercy Flighted from the scene of the accident to Erie County Medical Center, where he would eventually regain consciousness, and relearn to speak, walk, and even drive again. Matt has no memory of the incident, thusly the documentary is a collaboration of interviews with Matt, his family, doctors and medical experts, nurses, friends, and all who were involved and touched by Matt's incredible recovery. The film will be about his physical recovery- but will also go into depth on his mental and social long-term challenges. Beyond this, the film will explore people closely tied to Matt before, during, and after the accident and show how they were effected by the incident. The film is constructed in four acts that reflect Sigmund Freud's four stages of recovery: tragedy, hope, persistence and recovery. The story is both heart wrenching and inspirational, and speaks to the broad human question, "How do we move on?" Through reenactments, extensive interviews and a look into Matthew's daily life we seek to answer that question and better understand something near and dear to all of us: Recovery.

Faith, hope - a melody with no words
Is making its way through these dark times
Echoes the sound that you heard
In the autumn of desire
In the ashes of the innocence fires
No use closing your eyes to remember
What you wear in your bruises and scars
All these memories hold a reflection
Of the distance you've traveled so far
From a boy full of dreams in Pennsylvania
To a man with his wife in Tennessee
So much more than the sum of your longings
Are the good and the bad - all this beauty and tragedy
No one told you that faith would come easy
No one promised the way would be clear
Turn the ground in the fields of your story
While you're sowing the seed of your tears
Under skies wide and blue as the ocean
Make your peace with your own history
So much more than the sum of your longings
Are the good and the bad - all this beauty and tragedy
Put your sorrows in the ground
All the broken pieces wrapped up in shadows of places and
people you've known
Weeping shapes and sounds all strung together like a
crown
