Super Mario Odyssey's trailer was only a couple of minutes long, but it was enough to get everyone hung up on was Mario's bizarre appearance in a fictionalised version of NYC. The immediate comparison was that Odyssey reminded people of GTA, so it was only a matter of time before mods mashed together the whimsy of Odyssey with GTA's grit.

Overwatch's PTR, or public test realm, is a blessing and a curse for players. On one hand, they get to try out new changes before they go live. On the other, if players don't love a change, there's no guarantee Blizzard will do a 180. Right now, D.Va's staring down the barrel of a big nerf, and they seem pretty set on going through with it.
Today was one of those occasions that comes once, maybe twice (but definitely not thrice) in a lifetime. Gabe Newell arose from his Scrooge McDuck-esque lake of knives and cash to conduct an AMA. Spoiler: He likes Portal 2 more than Half-Life, and despite appearances to the contrary, Valve still makes games.
A substantial patch for Final Fantasy 14 just went live, changing up the MMORPG's party system in a big way. Last year I returned to visit my old Neopian stomping grounds. In the 15 years since I'd left, the bustling Neoboards had devolved into ghost towns. Faerieland had crashed to the ground. I could accessorise my JubJub with faeces. The times, they had a-changed.
In response to my article, Neopets' owner JumpStart reached out and offered an interview with CEO David Lord. Unfortunately, it soon became apparent that while there are dreams for Neopets' future, there is little momentum behind them.
We previously saw strong signs that Microsoft was working on a "game mode" for Windows 10, but it wasn't exactly clear what that mode would do. Microsoft has since provided some details, via platform engineering head Mike Ybarra.
Not an unexpected announcement, considering Torment: Tides of Numenera developer inXile locked in a late February release in December last year. As a celebration of sorts, inXile has created an "interactive quest" video that shows off some of the dialogue, gameplay and decision making in the game.
