Raga
A raga or raag (literally "color, hue" but also "beauty, melody"; also spelled raaga, ragam; pronounced rāga, or rāgam or "raag") is one of the melodic modes used in Indian classical music.
A raga uses a series of five to nine musical notes upon which a melody is constructed. However, the way the notes are approached and rendered in musical phrases and the mood they convey are more important in defining a raga than the notes themselves. In the Indian musical tradition, rāgas are associated with different times of the day, or with seasons. Indian classical music is always set in a rāga. Non-classical music such as popular Indian film songs and ghazals sometimes use rāgas in their compositions.
Joep Bor of the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music defined Raga as "tonal framework for composition and improvisation."Nazir Jairazbhoy, chairman of UCLA's department of ethnomusicology, characterized ragas as separated by scale, line of ascent and descent, transilience, emphasized notes and register, and intonation and ornaments.Pandit Jasraj describes the meaning of Raga as "love".

Plot: Police Inspector Saeed Rehman (Aloknath) is an honest police officer in the city's police force. As he continued to work without accepting any bribes, he became a liability to some of his colleagues, including Inspector N.A. She lives with her mother, Radha, who is anxious to get her married, to a point that she gets sick and is bed-ridden often; and her dad, Govind, a singer by profession. When a prospective groom's mother rejects Ragini because of her disability, Radha has a stroke and passes away, leaving a devastated Govind and Ragini to try and cope with life. Then when Govind travels to another town to negotiate with a suitable groom for his daughter, he tragically meets with an accident, and dies, leaving Ragini alone with her maid-servant and her maternal aunt. Then Rajan Swamy enters her life, and everything changes for her. They fall in love, and soon get married. They spend several days in absolute bliss, intimacy, and harmony, only taking breaks to eat some food. Then Rajan has to go away on business for about a week - out of town. Weeks pass by and Rajan does not return. Then Ragini finds out that her jewelery is missing. A visit to the bank shows that her bank account has been cleaned out, and all her investments cashed. Rajan's co-workers and Manager have filed a police complaint against him for embezzling cash. But Ragini continues to believe that this is all part of a big misunderstanding, and that Rajan will return and clarify everything. But will Rajan ever return. that is if he is still alive?

Plot: Seema and Uma belongs to a Thakur family which earns their bread & butter through stage & dance performances and this leaves Seema disowned by groom's father, right at the time of marriage rituals. Diwan agrees on a condition that Seema leaves Ashok alone. Seema goes on to commit suicide but is saved by a man. The suicide attempt makes her loose her memory. She starts working as nurse at Dr.Balraj's hospital. Ashok meets with a car accident and admitted to the hospital where his eyes were also operated. Uma goes to drop Munna to his grandfather and leave. But Diwan takes her as Ashok's wife and asks her to stay with him. She agrees for the sake of Munna. Dr.Balraj wants to marry Seema but she gains her memory back before the marriage takes place. Ashok has his operation successful. He finds Seema at Dr.Balraj's place. Diwan accepts Seema as his daughter in law.

Plot Summary:
Ragini IPS (Ragini) is a strict cop whose aim is to rid the society of corrupt politicians and goons, and help women lead a decent life. She takes on an MP (Avinash), and his son Jagadish (Narayanaswamy), a corporator who is a womanizer. She brings their misdeeds to the fore, earning their wrath in the process. To take revenge, Jagadish and his goons lay a trap for Ragini and rape her. The story takes a turn when Ragini and a few women catch hold of the rowdy elements and castrate them.
