SPT members
In 2010 the Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture was enlarged from 10 to 25 members.
These members are elected by State Parties to the OPCAT and are independent experts on prevention of torture from all regions of the world.
SPT members are elected for a period of four years, renewable once. For more information about the current membership, visit the SPT website.
