Vampyros Lesbos

MA15+
Germany, 1971
Genre: Horror, Sexuality
Language: German

Vampire films usually call to mind lightning strikes in grim Transylvanian settings or rain-sleeked London streets. Not so in cult director Jesús Franco’s '70s psychedelic lesbian romp Vampyros Lesbos. Set on a mysterious Turkish island ruled over by the temptress Countess Nadine Oskudar, she lures naïve young lawyer Linda Westinghouse (Ewa Strömberg) to her pleasure palace via saucy dreams. It’s as daft and undressed as it sounds.
