The judiciary is often the last line of defense for protecting Americans' religious liberty rights. When Congress or state legislatures pass laws that infringe on church-state separation, the judiciary has a right -- and indeed a duty -- to strike down such laws as unconstitutional. Americans United believes only men and women who support church-state separation should be appointed to judicial posts.
