Two men charged after woman sexually assaulted in Cairns home

Two men have been charged after a woman was sexually assaulted in her Cairns home on Wednesday.
The woman, in her 30s, was sleeping in her Kanimbla home when she woke about 1am to find a man assaulting her.
She screamed and the man fled from the room.
Police allege the woman was also robbed after phones, wallets and a handbag were missing from the property.
The woman was not physically injured.
An 18-year-old man was found nearby a short time later and charged with one count of sexual assault in company and burglary and commit an indictable offence.
He appeared in Cairns Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody to reappear on March 1.
On Thursday afternoon, police charged a second man, 17, with sexual assault in company, burglary and commit an indictable offence and enter with intent in relation to the attack.
The man is due to appear in Cairns Magistrates Court on Friday.
