On tour: Garth Brooks announces Dallas shows
Entertainment Tonight

It’s the tour that just won’t stop. Country music legend Garth Brooks has announced he’s taking his tour to Dallas, Texas, with two shows scheduled in September at American Airlines Center.

Brooks announced the latest city on his world tour on July 15 via his website and official social media pages. The Dallas shows will be held September 18 and 19, and both shows start at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale July 24 at 10 a.m. CST. Tickets are $74.98 each, and there is a limit of eight tickets per purchase in effect. For additional information, check out Brooks’ website.

The Dallas shows will mark Brooks’ return to the Lone Star State on this tour. The singer performed in Houston earlier this summer. As of press time, the Dallas shows in September are also the next upcoming concerts on Brooks’ tour. The country music singer most recently wrapped up three nights of performances in New Orleans earlier this month.

The singer has taken an unconventional approach regarding the announcement of upcoming shows. Instead of announcing concert dates for the entire tour in one press release, Brooks has announced shows city-by-city, sometimes going weeks in between each announcement. He has also been known to add extra shows and dates to stops on the tour. Brooks’ current tour, his first in more than a decade, kicked off last September in Chicago. It has not been announced how long the tour will last, or where Brooks will take the tour on future stops. The unconventional approach to touring has paid off; Forbes estimated Brooks earned a cool $90 million between June 2014 and June 2015.

Brooks’ setlist for his current tour has included performances of songs from his latest album, last year’s Man Against Machine. He’s also performed some of his older hits, including “The Thunder Rolls,” “That Summer” and the crowd-pleasing singalong-friendly “Friends in Low Places.”

Brooks’ shows in Dallas also include performances by special guest Trisha Yearwood. Her hit songs include “How Do I Live,” “Walkaway Joe” and “PrizeFighter.”
