Fight breaks out during UNLV vs. Utah State women's hoops game

The UNLV Lady Rebels stayed true to their team name on Saturday.

Hosting the Utah State Aggies, UNLV was down 36-32 in the third quarter and started to fight back. Literally.

After UNLV’s center Katie Powell went up for a rebound against Utah State’s Antoina Robinson, the play was called dead because a Lady Rebels player fell to the floor.

While walking past Robinson, Powell threw her shoulder into the Utah State forward.

Robinson didn’t appreciate that, shoved Powell, and that’s when the fireworks started.

Both players threw punches at each other before the benches cleared and they were separated.

The MVP of the fight is clearly the UNLV player who, with an injured left foot, actually hops over from the bench to get in on the scuffle.

After the brawl, eight players were ejected.

The brawl seemed to wake up the Lady Rebels, who forced overtime and wound up winning, 55-53.
