Internships

The Economist Group provides Internship opportunities on a rolling basis and within most of our business units. We consider all interested candidates regardless of discipline or degree preference. Candidates are assessed on the basis of educational achievements and career interests, as well as required skills and knowledge for the specific internship opportunity.

We advise that you look at the various opportunities available and carefully review the requirements before applying for an internship.

The Economist newspaper’s editorial department runs three different types of internships every year. In addition to these three, we occasionally (but not every year or at any set time) advertise for interns in the foreign and Britain departments of The Economist. As an Economist Group intern, you will work on an important, challenging and stimulating project or work related tasks from day one.

To apply, you will need to complete your profile and submit your resume along with a cover letter and writing samples (if required in the job description of the role). You may apply for as many roles as you like. The assessment process thereafter varies according to the role requirements and the region.
