The Sundays (stylized as The SUNDAYS on all releases) were an English alternative rock band. The band formed in the late 1980s and released three albums in the 1990s.
The band's beginnings came with the meeting of Harriet Wheeler and guitarist David Gavurin at university. Wheeler had played gigs with 'Cruel Shoes' an early incarnation of the band Jim Jiminee. The duo soon augmented the band with bassist Paul Brindley and drummer Patrick Hannan.
The Sundays secured a recording contract with Rough Trade Records. Their debut single was "Can't Be Sure". Their first album, Reading, Writing and Arithmetic was released in 1990, along with their next single "Here's Where the Story Ends". The album was a UK Top 5 hit.
With Rough Trade's financial troubles and the band's decision to manage themselves, The Sundays' next single, "Goodbye", did not emerge until 1992. Their next album, Blind, arrived the same year, reaching the UK Top 15. The "Goodbye" B-side, a cover of The Rolling Stones' "Wild Horses", also appeared on the US release of Blind as well as in the movie Fear (1996) and on the 1999 soundtrack album for the popular television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The band toured in support of these recordings.
"Can't Be Sure" was the 1989 debut single by the British indie pop group The Sundays. It was the first (and in the UK, only) single to be released from their album Reading, Writing and Arithmetic, which appeared a year later. The B-side was "I Kicked a Boy", which also appeared on the album. The 12" single contained an additional, non-album track, "Don't Tell Your Mother".
The song's lyrical theme is "desire", treated as a general concept rather than being directed towards anything or anyone in particular.
By the song's closing refrain, the song's narrator appears to have come to terms with, if not necessarily resolved, the dichotomy:
The single was voted number one in John Peel's Festive Fifty for 1989 and reached #45 in the UK charts in February of that year.
"Sun Daze" is a song recorded by American country music duo Florida Georgia Line. It is the second single from their second studio album Anything Goes, which was released on October 14, 2014.
Thematically, the song is about a man who plans to participate in various recreational activities, including flip cup, sexual intercourse, and substance intoxication of cannabis. Country Weekly describes the song as "reggae-indebted" and said that "While it retains the party friendly vibe of much of FGL’s work, the loose, stripped-down production is a bit of a departure for the duo". The group members told the magazine that “It still kinda bumps and it’s still got a cool guitar line and it’s got the whistles going and it’s still groovy. You can’t not shake your head to that song. It’s just a simple song, man. We just try to be very transparent in the way we write and the way we live. There’s nothing better than just kicking back . . . whatever ‘Sun Daze’ is for that person—staying home, making a drink, playing basketball, whatever it may be.”

Blind is the second full-length album by The Sundays. It was released by Parlophone on October 19, 1992 in the UK, then in the US by Geffen the following day, October 20. Often considered the darkest and most experimental of The Sundays' albums, noted for its melancholic lyrics and closer resemblance to the darker dream pop work of artists such as Cocteau Twins. This is another of my little collection of live Sundays vids - this one is a longer one but again not great quality. I didn't record any of these sundays clips - I just collected them over the years. As far as I can tell the '120 Mins' refers to the name of the show, not the length.

Chris Wallace confronted President-elect Donald Trump on Fox News Sunday this morning about having conflicts of interest as president. He brought up Trump holding onto his Celebrity Apprentice EP credit and asked, “Isn’t that a huge conflict of interest, sir?” Trump insisted he won’t actually be involved in managing that or managing his company, saying he doesn’t really care anymore. Wallace pointed out that he “hammered Hillary Clinton over the Clinton Foundation and pay to play,” but now foreign countries may be “trying to curry favor with the President of the United States” by either making deals or going to his properties and spending lots of money there.President-elect Donald Trump told "Fox News Sunday's", Chris Wallace this morning “I think it’s ridiculous, I think it’s just another...
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
Monday through Saturday I get by just fine
Every other day of the week I feel alright
But I don't know why
I don't know why
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
Sunday's supposed to be the day for kicking off your shoes
But how come that's the day I always get the blues
And I don't know why
I don't know why
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
Ever since you had to go I just carry on
But deep down inside I know there's something wrong
And I don't know why
I don't know why
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
I can't seem to make it through Sunday
