From frightening florals to fuchsia fails: FEMAIL highlights stars' most disastrous fashion flops on the red carpet at this year's Golden Globes
- The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, California on Sunday night
- Stars who missed the mark included Janelle Monae, Emily Ratajkowski, Felicity Jones and many others

The Golden Globes predictions may be what is on everyone's lips in the lead-up to tonight's show, but all eyes are on the red carpet.
But while much of the star power strolling into the awards on Sunday in Los Angeles glittered like the glamorous should, others unwittingly vied for biggest fashion fail of the night - and the competition was certainly fierce.
Emily Ratajkowski, for one, seemed to have accomplished the impossible - finding a dress that fails to flatter her famously phenomenal body. The 25-year-old's yellow satin gown seemed to be coming apart at the back, boasted both a plunging neckline and a massive front slit, and was clearly in need of ironing.
Polka dot disaster: Janelle Monae failed to hit the mark with a massive white skirt covered in mesh and black spots
So much pink: Rogue One star Felicity Jones was spotted in several shades of pink with strange fake lace detailing on the red carpet for this year's Golden Globes
Not quite red carpet ready: Emily Ratajkowski, 25, should have taken an iron to her satin dress before hitting the carpet
Felicity Jones is flying high on the success of Rogue One this past December, but her red carpet offering doesn't quite reach such lofty heights.
On top of being made up of several different shades of clashing pink, her gown included strange black detailing across the bodice that looked like someone had used a sharpie to draw the front of a ruffled blouse on her.
Singer Carrie Underwood went the other way with her own pink dress, which had more ruffles than could possibly be counted in the shape of large flowers.
The usual quirks: Sarah Jessica Parker falls flat with slouching drop-shoulder sleeves on her plunging white gown
More shades of pink: Zoe Saldana also commits the sin of clashing shades of pink on the red carpet on top of matching ruffles with even more ruffles
A real eyeful: Olivia Culpo looked as though she had ripped down a wall hanging
Ruffles on ruffles: Carrie Underwood looked to be getting crushed under a mass of fabric roses
But that was far from the end of the pink disasters swanning about the carpet this year. Like Felicity Jones, Zoe Saldana also committed the sin of wearing several shades of clashing pink while also being drenched in ruffles.
The artist Gustav Klimt seemed to be getting a shout out on the carpet from Olivia Culpo, whose busy, busy gown looked to be made of wall hangings of the artist's paintings.
Showcasing her famous boundary-pushing style was Sarah Jessica Parker, who almost nailed her look with an elegant white gown that was then let down by strange slouching off-the-shoulder sleeves.
Over-the-top: Renee Bargh was all flowers and ribbons in this dress that was barely there and too much at the same time
Green on green: Transparent star Trace Lysette was all nude fabric and beads in this over-the-top frock
Quite a pair: Pharrell Williams and Mimi Valdés came together in their fashion fails with Mimi in a busy gown with mismatched lipstick and Pharrell matching a bejeweled and lapel-free suit jacket with a beanie hat
The wrong angles: Riley Keough's enviable shape was totally disguised by this triangle-covered dress
Renee Bargh, 30, hit all sorts of bad notes with a sheer black gown - with incredibly short slip underneath - decked in pop-out flowers, and ribbons.
The worst-dressed couple award goes to Pharrell Williams and his date Mimi Valdés hands down. The singer and producer sported a long white embroidered jacket adorned with a sash of jewels, but inexplicably paired this look with a black beanie hat.
Singer and Moonlight actress Janelle Monae is known for her unique style both on and off the red carpet, but her offering this Sunday wasn't quite quirky in a good way.
A plain black sequined top balloons into a giant floating white skirt covered in black dots of varying sizes and black mesh. Dress aside, however, Janelle's hair looked nothing short of gorgeous, with an elaborate updo held with a rhinestone clip and dotted with crystals.
Actress Riley Keough was left looking might boxy thanks to her gown, which was formed with diamond and triangle shapes that failed to flatter her figure.
Peekaboo: Jeannie Mai had an otherwise beautiful textured gown fall flat with a rectangular flesh-baring panel in frot
Strapped in: TV host Liz Hernandez was all bandage and sheer panels in this less than flattering number
Monica or Morticia? Monica Bellucci (left) looked overdone in this frumpy black draping dress while Zazie Beetz's (right) gown goes from glamour at the top to bedskirt at the bottom
Slick: Karrueche Tran (left), Diana Madison (center) and Charissa Thompson (right) were all shining in the wrong ways on this year's carpet
Black on black: Actresses Tiziana Rocca (left) and Amara Karan (right) both went over the top with their black gowns
Getting comfortable: Jill Soloway looked more ready for watching Netflix in bed than hitting the Golden Globes
Black and frumpy seemed to be one of the more popular trends on the carpet this year, unfortunately, claiming the looks of actresses including Tiziana Rocca, Amara Karan and Monica Bellucci.
TV personality Jeannie Mai, 38, had her otherwise stunning textured gown accented with a strange rectangular flesh-baring panel at the front, which was covered with a shimmering sheer fabric that puckered as she moved in less than flattering ways.
Access Hollywood's Liz Hernandez followed suit with sheer panels aplenty between bands of multiple fabrics, all black, including a pair of velvet ones criss-crossing over her legs.
Model and actress Karrueche Tran, 28, opted for eye-searing hot pink with her hands full of strange rings that she showed off with awkward poses, while TV host Diana Madison literally looked like a fish out of water with a satin green mermaid dress puckering at the seams and wet-look slicked hair.
