With Jesy Nelson moving hurriedly on following the untimely end to her engagement to Jake Roche, it appears Jake has chosen to do the same.

Neither have wasted much time in doing so, given that they only split in November last year, but it was widely reported before Christmas that Jesy had been romancing personal trainer Bradley Churchill after her bandmate Perrie Edwards introduced them.

And Jesy's not the only one giving potential new partners the glad-eye.

Jake - who is in boy band Rixton - is now reportedly wooing Vicki Gordon, who was on last year's The Voice UK.

Vicki - of double act Vicki and Scott - failed to excel to The Voice finals last year after she performed with her best friend Scott Storey in front of Paloma Faith, Boy George, Ricky Wilson and Will.i.am.

It's unclear what she's been up to since, although she had previously been a jewelry presenter for a Birmingham-based shopping channel. 

According to The Sun, the singer met Jake, 24, at Shane Richie's (Jake's father) pantomime over Christmas.

A source told the paper: 'Vicki had a friend in the panto in Southampton and she ended up meeting Jake at drinks after the show. They hit it off straight away and bonded over their recent break-ups.'

It transpires that Vicki - who comes from Solihull - had broken up with her boyfriend just days before meeting Jake, in what seems to be an even speedier attempt to find a new man.

The source went on to explain how Jake was wooing Vicki with his gentlemanly charm - supposedly encouraged by his father Shane from the sidelines - and at the end of the night he made the rather forward gesture of offering to drive her back to London with him.

'Jake was telling her she was a gorgeous girl and giving her loads of confidence... at the end of the night they kissed, exchanged numbers,' the source explained.

The insider also added that 'it’s the first girl Jake has been interested in since the break up' - which is perhaps not shocking given that it took place merely weeks beforehand.

The source also stressed that 'with Jesy dating again, he wanted to start the New Year by moving on', suggesting that the Rixton musician has been on the lookout to fill the void.

Months ago, Jesy and Jake were planning on spending the rest of their lives together, having been engaged to be married since he proposed to her in 2015.

Since the break-up, both have been pouring their heartbreak into their song lyrics, with Jesy's band Little Mix releasing Shout Out To My Ex and Jake penning a track called I Swear She’ll Be The Death Of Me.

Meanwhile, Vicki has been trying to crack the show-business world throughout her childhood, teenage and now adult years.

The 25-year-old has auditioned for Blue Peter in the past, as well as Search For A Star, Cop Idol and Junior Eurovision.

She and hairdresser Scott auditioned for last year's The Voice on the spur of the moment not thinking they'd get through.

'We said we’d have a day out in Manchester but right till the last minute we weren’t sure if we were actually going to do it,' she told The Birmingham Mail last year.

Vicki and Scott performed Fascination by Alphabeat at the auditions, putting their own spin on it, but failed to go all the way on the show.

Meanwhile, Jesy, also 25, described the break-up process as awful after splitting from her fiancé, telling radio station Z100: 'When you break up with someone, it's awful. Is it not one of the worst pains? It's horrendous and we all need a sad song that you sit and cry to.

'At the end of the day, though, you need something that makes you feel empowered ... that makes you think, "You know what I don't need you anymore. I'm going to go out with my girls and I'm going to get over you because I don't need you."'

Jake's mother Coleen Nolan - who is currently appearing on Celebrity Big Brother All Stars vs New Stars - confirmed the pair had ended things at the end of last year on Loose Women.

Talking about expectations on people to marry as soon as they become engaged, Coleen said: 'It was the same with Jake and Jesy, everyone was asking about the wedding.'

Ruth Langsford tentatively stepped in and asked: 'Have they split then?'

'Yes, they have,' said Coleen, looking upset.

'It's amicable on both sides,' she continued. 'They're both dealing with it really well and are still good friends.

'It's a lot to handle when you are young.'
