Hollyoaks bad boy Jamie Lomas 'banned from driving for six months after missing three court hearings'

Jamie Lomas has reportedly been banned from driving for six months after missing a court hearing three times.

The Hollyoaks actor, 41, is said to have been sent several summons after his BMW hit another car on September 10 at the Trafford Centre and failed to stop. 

Lomas, however, claims he did not know about the summons or that he had been banned from driving.

The Sun reports that Manchester magistrates’ court convicted Lomas of failing to give details about the driver and gave him six points on his license, giving him 12 altogether. 

JP Andrew Sokill told Manchester Magistrates’ Court: 'Two requests were sent to the defendant, the person believed to have information to give in relation to this X6 vehicle.'  

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Lomas told The Sun on Sunday that he was not aware he had been summoned to court.

They explained: 'He had been staying at another address for some time. If he had known about this he would have been there in person.

'He has immediately contacted his insurance company and Manchester Magistrates’ Court to resolve this as soon as possible.'

MailOnline have contacted Lomas' representatives for comment.

Lomas is best known for playing Warren Fox in Hollyoaks and returned to the Channel 4 soap last year, despite being 'killed off' in 2011.

Speaking about his decision to return, he said on This Morning: 'It was too good to turn down. It's like starting a black canvas, there's so many new characters. (Warren) He's trying to be good. But a leopard doesn’t change his spots.

'I always loved playing the character. The writers always did an amazing job writing for him.'
