'I look like Carol Vorderman': Chloe Khan is treated to a makeover but thinks she 'looks 40-odd' while Kim Woodburn, 74, is thrilled with her VERY youthful new look

  • Kim Woodburn and Chloe Khan appear on 100% Hotter
  • Asked the show's stylists to revamp their looks
  • Chloe hated her 'demure and classy makeover'
  • She said it made her look '40-odd, like Carol Vorderman'
  • Kim, however, was delighted the team got her out of her style rut
  • They banished her bun and pearls to bring her image up-to-date

Two celebrities who were given an image overhaul for a new Channel 5 show had very different responses to their new looks.

Queen of clean Kim Woodburn and Playboy model Chloe Khan appeared on 100% Hotter to see if the show's experts could revamp their appearances.

And while Kim was delighted with her transformation, which she said took decades off her 74 years, Chloe, 24, accused the stylists of making her look old and frumpy.

Chloe Khan appeared on 100% Hotter to say her usual Barbie-style look, left, means people often judge her so the makeover team made her look more 'classy and demure' right

Chloe tells makeup artist Melissa she hates her makeover as she said it made her look old

The model said she felt ugly without her hair extensions and skimpy outfit and described her new look as 'proper bad'

'I hate it, I f***ing hate it, I'm so sorry, I hate it, I think it is really bad,' Chloe said when she was shown her sophisticated new look, which had banished her beloved hair extensions and false eyelashes.

She said she liked her outfit, a Coco Chanel inspired skirt suit, but said didn't think she looked pretty because of her simple hair and makeup.

'I think I look 40-odd, I look like Carol Vorderman,' she complained. 'I am not going to lie, I feel like walking out. I think it is proper bad. I am not feeling this at all, I just want to cut my head off.'

Earlier in the show Chloe had asked the team - stylist Karen Williams, makeup Melissa Sophia and hair designer Daniel K Palmer - to make her look more professional so she could be taken more seriously as a mother and businesswoman.

The 24-year-old from Leeds, who found fame on The X Factor and Big Brother, said she often gets criticised for her skimpy outfits, which barely contain her 32HH chest.

Kim Woodburn admitted she had become stuck in a style rut with her twinset and pearls, left, so the team gave her a more modern look, right

Kim was delighted with her new brown locks, which made her look younger than her 73 years

She said she loved to emulate 'a fantasy Disney princess' with her over-the-top makeup and voluminous hair extensions.

'I would describe my style as quite over-the-top, very Barbie-ish. Small waist, long legs, big boobs, out of proportion - look like you are going to topple over, I love that kind of look,' she said.

'When I was little I would run around with feathers in my hair and I am still playing dress up. Make up is the best invention ever, better than electricity.'

However, she said she feared 'people judge my personality on how I look' and she wondered if they would 'warm to me more' if she had a different image.

She explained: 'I do feel I close doors on myself for how I look. It would be cool to try a different look and open different doors.'

The team said they wanted to make Chloe look 'more demure and classy' but she said she felt their efforts made her look 'ugly.'

Chloe, before and after, said she hoped people would warm to her if she had a different look but she hated what the stylists suggested

Chloe complained of her new image: 'I am not going to lie, I feel like walking out. I think it is proper bad. I am not feeling this at all, I just want to cut my head off'. She also felt she looked like Carol Vorderman, right

Viewers however disagreed and rated her look on average 9/10, after saying her original image was 3/10.

The audience were also impressed by the way the stylists transformed Kim's look.

She admitted she had become stuck in a style rut and hadn't changed her image for 40 years as she was terrified of looking like mutton dressed as lamb.

'No one enjoys being 74, there is no fun in it. I used to walk down the high street and all the young guys would wolf whistle, they ignore me now,' she said.

She added that people always expect her to wear her signature twinset and pearls when she makes TV appearances so she felt 'stuck' with her old-fashioned image.

'I think my dress is an acquired taste. Do I dress well? I have never thought about it, to me I do,' she said.

Kim, before and after, said she felt 'stuck' with her old image so was keen for a new look

The stylists said Kim's brown hair made her blue eyes stand out more

The TV presenter said she usually only wore her hair scraped back as she hates how it feels against her face but would be willing to try a different style.

She was amazed when Daniel banished her bun and dyed her peroxide blonde locks brown.

She said the darker shade made her blue eyes stand out more while Melissa gave her makeup to better enhance her pale complexion, and Karen updated her wardrobe with jeans, heels and a mac.

On seeing her new look, Kim said she was delighted.

'Oh my goodness me! I have never thought of myself as having dark brown hair!' she said. 'I can't thank you enough.'

Members of the public said they didn't recognise the How Clean Is Your House star after her makeover and rated her look 9/10.

Celebrity 100% Hotter begins Tuesday at 10pm on Channel 5
