- Hull travel to Old Trafford for the semi-final first leg and Mourinho decided to put in some extra work at Carrington to gear his side up for the EFL Cup fixture
Jose Mourinho is putting in the extra hours as he looks to continue his bid for a first trophy as Manchester United boss in the EFL Cup.
The Old Trafford boss was straight back to work on Sunday morning at Carrington, less than 24 hours after United's routine win over Reading in the FA Cup third round, as he prepared his side for Tuesday's clash with Hull.
On Saturday, Wayne Rooney equalled Sir Bobby Charlton's club record in 4-0 win as Mourinho rested a number of first team regulars. The likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all went unused and are likely to have joined their boss for the Sunday training session.

Paul Pogba was an unused substitute but Mourinho confirmed he would return against Hull
Mourinho, who shared the picture of his 'working Sunday' on Instagram, confirmed Pogba and Ibrahimovic are all set to start against the Tigers.
'I play with the players that didn't play [on Saturday],' said Mourinho.
'I played with fresh players and I don't want to say anything about first choice or second choice but we played with fresh players, the players who didn't play against West Ham.
'In the next match against Hull City we are going to play again with fresh players. So it's easy to know our team - Zlatan [Ibrahimovic], [Paul] Pogba, [Ander] Herrera, [Antonio] Valencia. The guys that didn't play today.'
Despite Liverpool looming large next weekend, Mourinho remains hungry to win every piece of silverware available.
United suffered a potentially damaging loss when Marcus Rojo went off injured on Saturday
'Hull face a semi-final, also a big occasion for them, and I don't know maybe for them, it's more important the match they have to play three or four days later in the Premier League [against Bournemouth],' he added.
'We play against Liverpool, a big match for us, but we want to be in the final. So we are going to face this Hull match with everything we have, all the power we have, as we know it's two legs but the second leg is away.
'If we can do something in the first leg that gives us the advantage, so we will try to do that.'
Marcos Rojo is a doubt for Tuesday's tie after being withdrawn due to an injury in the first half of the win over Reading.
