Toure left Liverpool to join former manager Brendan Rodgers at Scottish champions Celtic at the start of the season.
The veteran defender, who has made 12 appearances for the Hoops this campaign, is on holiday in Dubai while clubs north of the border enjoy their three-week winter break.
Gerrard, meanwhile, announced his retirement from professional football on November 24 after spending the last two seasons of his career with LA Galaxy in the United States.

The 36-year-old is yet to decide his next career move but has expressed a desire to move into management at some point in the future.
Gerrard held talks with League One club MK Dons following Karl Robinson's departure in November but ruled himself out of the running for the job - claiming it has come 'a bit too soon' after his retirement.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has since left the door open for Gerrard to return to the club in a coaching role.

'From our side, if he wants to make whichever career change from his former career, then we want to help him,' Klopp said. 'There's nothing else to say.'
'The way I played the game, a lot of passion - heavy metal he calls it - I think he would be perfect for me the way I play the game,' Gerrard said.
Gerrard has repeatedly praised Klopp since his arrival at Anfield and the former midfielder says he would have loved to have played under the German manager.
