'Welcome to the icy corner of doom': Giggling couple film EIGHT unsuspecting pedestrians as they take a tumble on the same frozen road
- The newly emerged footage was captured in Brighton one snowy night in 2012
- A couple filmed an icy corner as a succession of pedestrians fall victim
- Narrated in real-time throughout, eight people go down and five skid but survive
Is this footage hilarious to the highest to degree, or potentially a little cruel?
Hilarious - according to the couple who set up a video camera to capture this icy street corner one night, as a succession of unsuspecting pedestrians slid, scattered and fell flat on their backs one after another.
The artfully narrated footage, filmed several years ago during a snowy evening in Brighton, sees no less than eight victims tumble over, and a further five suffer very near-misses.
'It's 1am in the morning, we're in Brighton and it's snowing,' the male narrator announces as the YouTube footage begins.
'There's currently an old man with a walking stick, walking towards a block of ice. Let's see how he handles it.'
Thankfully, as it transpires, the man in question does not fall prey - but his companion does, triggering an outburst of giggling from the two filmers.
Surmising his critical error, the narrator states: 'He kept his hands in his pocket.'

Of the first set of victims, pictured, only one took a tumble (left) while the other on the right managed to stay standing
The next unwitting victim? A solo pedestrian dressed in full camouflage.
'A soldier!' the narrator exclaims. 'Is this guy prepared, for the corner of doom?'
As the unfortunate fellow slips over flat on his back, the conclusion we hear: 'No. No he is not.'
The third wipe-out comes from a man apparently wandering home eating a kebab.
'Quick! Five second rule,' the filmer quips, as the man quickly recovers himself and hobbles off with his feast.
Every theatrical fall triggers an outburst of giggling from the two filmers, who predict and then comment on each blunder
Some passers-by skid Bambi-style but just manage to avoid a fall, while others collapse into a defeated heap on the frozen road
A further succession of pedestrians proceed to cross the corner, some skidding Bambi-style but just managing to avoid a fall, others collapsing into a defeated heap on the frozen road.
At one point, the now near-hysterical couple point out a man who walks resolutely past one victim without even stopping to help.
'He just walks on by!' laughs the woman.
Perhaps the most comical of all however, for this couple at least, comes in the form of a potentially intoxicated walker.
'Look, look, he can hardly stand up,' the narrator observes, as the man in question staggers towards his icy fate.
Sure enough, he goes down - this time lingering for some time.
The last victim comes in the form of a potentially intoxicated walker, who lingers on the ground for some time before retrieving his phone, left, and eventually hobbling off, right
'He's lying on his back. His phone is about two metres away,' remarks our filmer, cuing a further explosion of laughter from his female sidekick.
'Look at him,' he goes on. 'I told you, he was so drunk. He's shuffling. He's shuffling to get his phone.'
Eventually, apparently not mortally wounded, the final victim retrieves his phone and plods on with his journey into the night.
Viewers on YouTube were largely in praise of the footage, with one stating: 'Brilliant, love it cant stop laughing, am in tears here!'
Another, however, was not so impressed.
'You two are pr**ks,' another commented. 'Enjoy hell.'
