Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin enjoys dinner with team-mates... but will it be his final goodbye before £20m Everton move?

Having beaten Reading 4-0 in the FA Cup third round, Manchester United players had plenty to celebrate as they headed out to local restaurant Tapeo on Saturday evening.

But toasting the triumph may not have been the reason Juan Mata, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind decided to go out. With Morgan Schneiderlin also in attendance, it could be suggested that this was in fact a farewell dinner.

The French midfielder was pictured alongside his girlfriend making his way to Tapeo, which is part-owned by Mata's father, and dined alongside his Manchester United team-mates amongst others.

Mata and Blind also brought their partners while Darmian was joined by his fiancee. And they all looked in high spirits as they headed to the popular Spanish restaurant in the centre of Manchester.

The French midfielder was not in the 18-man squad for the game against the Royals and has been told by Jose Mourinho that he is free to leave, so long as the right offer comes along.

So far, that has not happened but Everton are the only team to have come close to the £20million valuation that Manchester United have set. The Red Devils are hoping to reclaim as much of the £24m they paid to sign him from Southampton 18 months ago.

Everton are believed to have offered £18m but Ronald Koeman has the funds to match the asking price if he wants to. However, Mourinho has warned his counterpart to get a move on if he wants the deal to happen this month.

Speaking about Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay, who has also been linked with Everton, before the game against Reading, Mourinho said: 'Their situation is exactly the same, both of them I will allow them to leave the club.

'I will allow them to leave if the right offer comes. Until this moment, no. Is this a good situation? No. Why not? Because I don't think about them as options in this moment.

'In normal conditions they would probably be selected for the match tomorrow and they aren't because we are waiting for something that a couple of weeks ago looked like 100 per cent and at the moment looks like zero per cent because we don't have any offer that is close to the quality for the players we have.'

Schneiderlin is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and will be allowed to leave in January
