David Arquette accompanies heavily-pregnant wife Christina to star-studded art party... after announcing that they are expecting a second child

They delightedly announced their imminent arrival in October. 

So David Arquette and his stunning wife Christina are naturally brimming with excitement ahead of the birth of their second child together, as illustrated when they attended The Art of Elysium 'HEAVEN' Anniversary Celebration on Saturday.

The night out was beaming Christina's debut public appearance with her fast growing bump, which she highlighted with the help of a stunning maxi dress.

David, 45, and Christina announced on Instagram late last year that they are expecting their second child together and are thrilled that it's another little boy.

The Scream star - who also has 12-year-old daughter Coco with his ex-wife Courteney Cox - uploaded a sweet video of their two-year-old son Charlie holding a picture of the baby scan.

Since the announcement the duo have remained relatively low-key, yet Saturday night was a bold debut of her huge bump as they enjoyed a night of merriment in the midst of Christina's pregnancy. 

Determined not to blend into the crowd, the raven haired beauty opted for a brightly coloured plunging maxi dress adorned with ombre colours and animal prints.

In tones of neon orange and pink, the dress was an outstanding statement while boasting bell sleeves and a deep V-neckline. 

She wore her sleek tresses in a dead straight style while emphasising the fabled expectant mother glow with a dash of highlighter and dewy foundation.

David meanwhile cut a slick figure in a tuxedo complete with a bold red dicky bow - which complemented his wife's bright look.  

The event, where tickets sold for $5,000 per person, was an artistic installation curated by chosen visionary, Stevie Wonder. The Visionary is selected based upon their contribution creatively to the community.

In their pregnancy announcement, David accompanied the adorable video of little Charlie with the caption: 'So incredibly blessed and honored that my wife @christinaarquette is pregnant with a baby boy!

'Thank you Christina and humbled gratitude to G-D for this tremendous gift! Charlie and Coco are so excited and I am over the moon!!!'

Charlie is certainly very excited with the little boy holding on to the ultrasound photo proudly and even trying to speak the baby. 'Hello baby,' the toddler says in the video.

While Christina keeps telling him to speak to his brother, the tot struggles with the word.

The news couldn't have come at a better time as David was left heartbroken in September after his sibling Alexis, who had been battling with HIV for 29 years, died aged 47.

He said at the time: 'Thank you all for your love and kind words about Alexis. My hero for eternity.'

David - who has battled with alcohol addiction - and Christina first started dating in 2011 but their romance was very much on and off until they fell pregnant with Charlie in 2013.

They got engaged just three months after the now-toddler was born and they tied the knot just under a year later on April 12, 2015 in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles, California.

Meanwhile, David recently admitted that becoming a father has changed him drastically and he's learnt from his mistakes.

He said: 'Since Charlie has come into my life, I love Coco more than ever,' he adds. 'Having a son has brought back memories and made me realise how much I miss enjoying her as a baby.

'I am older and more mature and can return to raising a baby more aware of the wonderful daily experiences.'
