Spidey's new suit: Marvel dropped a new teaser video on Thursday offering fans a closer look into the updated features to Spider-Man's new costume ahead of the July 7 premiere
The announcement coincided with the first day of the annual CES 2017 convention show in Las Vegas.
In the short video, Marvel revealed that the costume was designed by none other than Iron Man's Tony Stark, who will pay Peter's watchful mentor in the latest Spider-Man installment.
While the wall crawler has always come equipped with a web shooter, the newest suit will have a laser targeting system, which would be easier to use on his enemies, as well as an adaptive selection of webs that could come in handy as a parachute or a giant net.
Tony Stark's design: The studio confirmed speculation that the costume - worn by Peter Parker - was designed by his mentor, Iron Man, or, Tony Stark
High-tech: The costume will feature a holographic wrist display as well as a GPS tracking system, which could come in handy to track down enemies
Fan favorite: Web wings are a notable feature as Spider-Man flying has never been shown on a cinematic platform; it was last seen in the 1962 comics
Moving eyes: Another stylistic feature is Spider-Man's eyes that are expressive and move
Another modern touch to the costume is the holographic wrist display with a GPS tracking system, which was first teased in post-credit scenes of Captain America: Civil War.
Expressive eyes are a more stylistic touch to the outfit as they actually move.
But perhaps the most notable feature are Spider-Man's wings, which is an addition fans have wanted to see for a while, and will be the first time the webbed hero will use these on a cinematic platform.
The wings - last seen in the 1962 comic books - stretch from his waist suit to his elbows as he uses them to glide in the air over and under Manhattan skyscrapers.
He can fly! The only time Spider-Man used his wings was in 1962
First look: Tom Holland, 20, will revive Spider-Man's character in the new movie. He was first seen as a guest role in Captain America: Civil War
Back then: Spider-Man: Homecoming offers a fresh, modern twist to the older Spider-Man costumes; pictured here is Tobey Maguire in the 2002 film
Spider-Man will be played by 20-year-old Tom Holland along with Tony Stark's Robert Downey Jr.
Directed by Jon Watts, the film will also star Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Donald Glover, Marisa Tomei and Tony Revolori.
Spider-Man swings into theaters on July 7, 2017.
Dell Experience: The Impossible actor spoke at the CES 2017 show on Thursday on behalf of Dell computers
In theaters: Tom will star alongside Robert Downey Jr., Zendaya and Micheal Keaton in Spider-Man: Homecoming, out on July 7
