Even though the night was all about her acting chops, Nicole Kidman couldn't help but praise her hubby Keith Urban at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts event.

The 49-year-old actor gushed about the country star as she collected the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in Lion at the 6th AACTA International Awards in Hollywood on Friday.

In her acceptance speech, she said: 'To the most beautiful man I've ever met, Keith Lionel Urban.'

The Eyes Wide Shut star took her moment of honor to express gratitude that her leading man is able to keep up with her jet-setting ways.

Nicole and Keith aren't immune to those pesky, little marital spats, though.

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban took to the red carpet at the AACTA Awards in Los Angeles this week and they made quite the smitten pair.

While Keith looked dapper in his suit, Nicole opted for a pretty black dress. It was slightly gothic-inspired with its tulle skirt, black hue and lace details, but we loved the contrast of the pink belted waist giving it a feminine touch. When the star was asked what her pet peeve is, she shared that she hates when people say they'll do something, but then don't.

'And I know it's terribly demanding, but I don't like it when my husband doesn't answer his phone,' she admitted.

'I have to keep calling and calling, and I get anxious. Does that make me high-maintenance?'

High maintenance or not, the couple have shared a lot of lovely memories together but one of the best ones for Nicole was when they celebrated her 40th birthday together.

'When I turned 40, my husband, Keith, drove me up to the top of this small hill in Australia and sat me down,' she recounted.

'He had put together this huge fireworks display. It was just for the two of us! It was sexy.'
