Jacob Sullivan was charged with the kidnapping, rape and murder of Grace Packer on Sunday morning. Grace was reportedly raped by Sullivan while her mother looked on for sexual enjoyment.Grace was then killed and four months later, her corpse was taken from an attic and dismembered.

Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the Palestinian attacker who mowed down and killed four Israeli soldiers and wounded 15 in Jerusalem was an ISIS terrorist. Speaking at the scene of the attack, Mr Netanyahu said the attacker has been identified and 'according to all the signs he was a supporter of the Islamic State.' He says there "definitely could be a connection" between Sunday's attack, which killed four Israeli soldiers, and recent attacks in France and Germany. The Israeli soldiers were on a sightseeing tour of Jerusalem when they were mowed down and the shocking moment was caught on camera. The killer, who is from the east of the city, swerved to drive over the young soldiers, before reversing to make sure they were dead, trapping ten people under the truck. The surviving soldiers riddled the cab, firing at least 18 rounds at the terrorist, who was killed.

A Florida school teacher has told of how she was protected during the Fort Lauderdale airport shooting by a stranger who covered her body with his own, even as killer stood right next to them. Annika Dean (pictured left with her sons), 42, a mother of two from Broward County, was waiting for her luggage around 1pm on Friday when she saw gunman Esteban Santiago, 26, walking towards her with a pistol.  She dropped to the floor as the gunman advanced, firing into the fleeing crowds - but was protected by a stranger, Tony Bartosiewicz (right), who shielded her body with his own, the Miami Herald reported.

Cleveland Cavaliers baller J.R. Smith and his wife Jewel posted a video updating friends and fans about the birth of their baby girl, named Dakota, who was born five months prematurely last week. Jewel choked up while telling of their daughter's five months premature birth, taking a deep breath before telling the camera of the new parent's struggle. She said: 'She's five days old today. Her name is Dakota and she weighs one pound,' she told the camera in the video posted to Uninterupted , the platform created by Smith's teammate Lebron James.

Police have released an Amber alert for two missing boys, believed to have been kidnapped by their mother, in Englewood, Colorado. Johnny Dinapoli, 8, and Joseph, 12, were last seen at their grandfather's house on 4900 block of South Galapago Street around 5:30am when they went outside to retrieve something from his car. Five inmates were hospitalized after a brawl at a Chicago super-maximum security jail on Friday afternoon. Their conditions range from serious to critical. Four of the five men hospitalized were at Cook County Jail awaiting trial on murder charges. Some of the injuries include puncture wounds, possibly from two recovered weapons that were made from parts of inhalers. The fight was caught on tape and officials quickly brought the situation under control.

And she added to her warning by showing her own 16 year-old daughter Leah in a hospital coma after taking Ecstasy over Christmas. Mrs Robinson explained how her family's own scare with Ecstasy came after Leah took what was believed to be the drug at a local party.

Lylah Fairless, four, of Missouri, the US, was born with a huge mole on the back of her head (left) that doctors feared could become a melanoma and develop fatal cancerous tumours. The only treatment doctors recommended was to have skin expanders placed under her hairline to be filled with fluid - similar to the surgery for breast implants. Surgeons have now been able to remove 90 per cent of the mole and replaced it with the excess skin created by the implants.
