Hugh kept things low-key ahead of the black tie event that evening in an open blue shirt, paired with casual trousers.

However the Love Actually star still maintained his trademark dapper style by layering a grey blazer on top, and teaming the look together with smart suede brogues.

Meanwhile Anna, who the actor has two children with, showed off her sensational figure in a set of skin-tight blue jeans, which hugged her long and slender legs.

The TV producer added a chic black military-style blazer on top and completed the look with black ankle boots, to elongate her already statuesque frame.

Leaving her hair loose and sporting minimal make-up, Anna's natural beauty was clear for all to see as she and Hugh made their way out of the airport, clad with a huge stack of luggage.

While it is not known where they met, the pair have two young children together - a son John, born in 2012, and a second child welcomed in October 2015.

The sex and name of the baby remains a mystery, but the birth was confirmed by Anna's mother to a Swedish newspaper.

The actor has landed in LAX with his supportive partner by his side in preparation for his appearance at the prestigious Golden Globes, in Beverly Hills on Sunday night.

Hugh has been put forward for the Best Actor in a Comedy award for his role in Florence Foster Jenkins - which he starred in alongside Meryl Streep.

Talking on the carpet of the Critics' Choice Awards last month, the Love Actually star admitted of working with Oscar-winning actress in his witty style: 'She was very intimidating in the lead up to it, but she endured me very kindly.'

The critically-acclaimed blockbuster, released in May, followed Streep as a New York heiress who became an opera singer, known for her painful lack of singing skill - with Hugh portraying her husband and manager St. Clair Bayfield.

Hugh revealed last year that the brilliance of the script had been enough to pull him out of 'semi-retirement' - having appeared in only four films since 2012.

He told Vanity Fair: 'For a few years, I thought I was putting show business behind me. I was busy doing other things in life, particularly with politics. I was not out looking for films really. I lost interest.

'The scripts I was receiving were not satisfying. But [director] Stephen [Frears] presented me with the script, which to my great surprise was moving and funny.

'It’s a complex, nuanced part for me. Although I wasn’t particularly immersed in show business at that point in my life, I felt I would be no kind of man if I said no.'
