Supermodel Iman posts romantic beach snap with David Bowie just before what would have been his 70th birthday

They enjoyed a romance of over 20 years and no doubt supermodel Iman was feeling nostalgic.

On Friday, the leggy beauty posted a snap to Instagram of herself with her late husband David Bowie together on a beach.

The 61-year-old fashion icon chose to post the romantic snap two days ahead of what would have been the Starman's 70th birthday.

Of course the legendary rocker died of liver cancer last year on January 10th, only two days after his 69th birthday.

The couple were married for 23 years. 

Iman's heartfelt image showed her and husband David on a beach together, a straw hat covering both of their faces.

In the artistic black and white image, David appears in a white oxford shirt, dark jeans and sneakers, while Iman looks elegant in a white chiffon dress.

She kept her caption simple: '#fbf #imanarchive #BowieForever.'

Meanwhile, a new BBC2 documentary on the Let's Dance singer has revealed that David didn't learn his liver cancer was terminal until three months before his death, according to Page Six

Director Johan Renck, who was filming with David before he died, claims that, following the diagnosis, the musician concluded 'we’ll end treatment or whatever that means, [the] illness has won.'
