David Spade is recovering at home after a scary car crash landed him in the hospital Wednesday evening.

The 52-year-old actor was driving near Sunset Blvd. and Beverly Drive when his Range Rover was hit by another car.

He was alone at the time and shaken up, but not badly injured, according to Us Weekly, who spoke to sources connected to the actor.

They confirmed: 'David was released from the hospital with a few aches and pains and bruises but seems fine and is resting at home now.'

He appears to be recovering well, but his Range Rover took quite the beating.

In a photo taken at the scene, the silver SUV is missing a back wheel and the entire side of the car is totaled.

The car crash happened in the evening as David was headed to dinner, according to TMZ, which also reported no drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.

He was taking a left turn at the extremely complex intersection right outside the Beverly Hills hotel when someone appeared to speed up to beat a yellow light.

David's had a bad first week of 2017 when it comes to driving. Just three days ago, he posted a photo on Instagram showing a parking ticket he received from the infamous Los Angeles parking enforcement.
