Jacob Sullivan was charged with the kidnapping, rape and murder of Grace Packer on Sunday morning. Grace was reportedly raped by Sullivan while her mother looked on for sexual enjoyment.Grace was then killed and four months later, her corpse was taken from an attic and dismembered.

The Queen, 90, arrived at the Sunday church service at Sandringham, after missing the traditional Christmas and New Year's church services for the first time. The monarch, wearing royal blue, left, was seen arriving at St Mary Magdalene Church with Prince Philip just before 11am this morning. Buckingham Palace had earlier refused to comment on the the Queen's health and whether she would be attending church. As the East Coast is recovering from the pounding snow and sleet from Saturday that killed three and caused hundreds of accidents on the roads, the West Coast is being pummeled by heavy rain that is expected to cause flooding and landslides. The Weather Channel reported at least three deaths in Oregon, Maine and Kentucky that were blamed on the weather over the weekend, as thousands of people lost power due tot he blizzard-like conditions from Virginia to parts of the Northeast.

Israel's prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the Palestinian attacker who mowed down and killed four Israeli soldiers and wounded 15 in Jerusalem was an ISIS terrorist. Speaking at the scene of the attack, Mr Netanyahu said the attacker has been identified and 'according to all the signs he was a supporter of the Islamic State.' He says there "definitely could be a connection" between Sunday's attack, which killed four Israeli soldiers, and recent attacks in France and Germany. The Israeli soldiers were on a sightseeing tour of Jerusalem when they were mowed down and the shocking moment was caught on camera. The killer, who is from the east of the city, swerved to drive over the young soldiers, before reversing to make sure they were dead, trapping ten people under the truck. The surviving soldiers riddled the cab, firing at least 18 rounds at the terrorist, who was killed.

A Florida school teacher has told of how she was protected during the Fort Lauderdale airport shooting by a stranger who covered her body with his own, even as killer stood right next to them. Annika Dean (pictured left with her sons), 42, a mother of two from Broward County, was waiting for her luggage around 1pm on Friday when she saw gunman Esteban Santiago, 26, walking towards her with a pistol.  She dropped to the floor as the gunman advanced, firing into the fleeing crowds - but was protected by a stranger, Tony Bartosiewicz (right), who shielded her body with his own, the Miami Herald reported.

Things are beginning to go back to normal at the Fort Lauderdale airport less than 48 hours after a gunman opened fire inside a crowded baggage claim area. Iraq war veteran Esteban Santiago flew in from Alaska, retrieved a handgun from his checked luggage, then went on his murderous rampage on Friday. There was a heavy police presence afterwards, and disruptions at the airport were seen (left, a baby sleeping in a security tray during the delays). But most of the hundreds of police cars and SWAT vans were gone when it reopened at 5am on Saturday. Security is also beginning to go back to normal at airports where it was also heightened at other airports across the country in the wake of the shooting, including at LAX and New York's La Guardia (top right), JFK and Newark.

Born at a private clinic on December 30, the Honourable Henry Thynn - a second grandson for the 7th Marquess of Bath - will soon be tucked up safely in his ancestral home, the magnificent Longleat House, Wiltshire. The miracle that is modern medicine means Henry is almost certainly the first member of the British aristocracy to have been born by surrogacy, in this case using one of his mother's eggs and his father's sperm, a process overseen more than 5,000 miles away from rural Wiltshire in the pristine surroundings of a Californian medical facility.

Five inmates were hospitalized after a brawl at a Chicago super-maximum security jail on Friday afternoon. Their conditions range from serious to critical. Four of the five men hospitalized were at Cook County Jail awaiting trial on murder charges. Some of the injuries include puncture wounds, possibly from two recovered weapons that were made from parts of inhalers. The fight was caught on tape and officials quickly brought the situation under control.

Three men who went missing during a duck hunting trip have been found dead on Saturday. Spencer Hall, 19, Starett Burk, 25, and Christian Ruckman, 18, had their bodies pulled from waters near Carancahua Bay. They had died from hypothermia and one of the men was found underneath their 17-foot boat. A dog was also found with the bodies. All three friends were avid hunters and often posted hunting photos on Facebook. Ruckman's mother called the day 'by far the worst day of her life' on Facebook.

A video blogger dad broadcast his wife's C-section on Facebook to 100,000 people - and even filmed while she was on the operating table. Stephen Skinner, 32, hit record just as Holly, 28, was heading to hospital to be induced and was expecting to capture the water birth of their first child on camera. Things didn't go to plan and doctors were forced to perform a C-section after the baby's head moved into a sideways position.The excited parents-to-be, both living in London, overcame the issues and baby Atlas was born on Boxing Day weighing 9Ibs 9 ounces.

Surveillance video emerged on Saturday showing a three-year-old boy wandering around a Detroit gas station by himself in the middle of the night in freezing cold temperatures. The shocking images show the child filmed by the gas station's closed circuit cameras innocently walking into the convenience store in his pajamas at approximately 4.30am. The boy is seen walking through the gas station (left) and then entering the convenience store (right), where the clerk notified police. An officer arrived at the scene and took the boy to search for his mother, who was found shortly afterward.

A group of self-proclaimed paranormal researchers claim they have found a giant hand belonging to an alien in desert caves near Cusco, Peru. The group have so far refused to reveal exactly where it found the bones (pictured). The claims have not been verified by a scientist or researchers from any recognised institution.

The Utah-based Tillotson family-of-five is hunting for a paid nanny to travel the world with them - from the US to Iceland, then around Europe and onto the Pacific islands and Asia. Lylah Fairless, four, of Missouri, the US, was born with a huge mole on the back of her head (left) that doctors feared could become a melanoma and develop fatal cancerous tumours. The only treatment doctors recommended was to have skin expanders placed under her hairline to be filled with fluid - similar to the surgery for breast implants. Surgeons have now been able to remove 90 per cent of the mole and replaced it with the excess skin created by the implants. Lylah (right with mother Ashley) is about to begin the final round of surgeries this year and her family are raising funds to afford them, after previously selling their house to cover her medical costs.

She bought the 1944 vessel for her ex-husband but she's aiming for a fresh start in 2017 and wants the 20-metre boat gone. Currently berthed in Wellington, the Ruah has six cabins, beds for 14 people, two showers and all the creature comforts of a house - as well as the seaworthiness to cross the Tasman in heavy seas.

This is the moment a 'hangry' lioness snarled and clocked her tiny cub around the ear when he came between her and her supper.The footage by freelance wildlife photographer Corlette Wessels captured the hungry family sinking their teeth into a huge buffalo carcass at Djuma Game Reserve in the Kruger Park, South Africa. But the little cub seemed to encroach on his mother's side of the feast which sent her into a fit of rage.

Staffordshire terrier cross Kuta, circled in red, loves the ocean. She feels at home paddling with the dolphins at Esperance, off the West Australian coast. The two-year-old rescue dog also befriended a seal. Her owner Erin Cummings, pictured inset with Kuta, takes her paddleboarding every morning and occasionally has to call her to come back in.
