Detectives investigating the Claremont serial murders are examining a Holden Commodore they believe accused killer Bradley Robert Edwards was driving 21 years ago.
The Weekend West reports that police believe the white VS Commodore was used by the 48-year-old telecoms engineer as his work vehicle in 1996 and 1997.
Those are the years in which Sarah Spiers, Jane Rimmer and Ciara Glennon disappeared.
Bradley Robert Edwards has been accused of murdering Ms Rimmer and Ms Glennon. The murder of Ms Spiers, whose body was never found, is still an active investigation.
The Weekend West reports that the car was seized from it's current owner in Chidlow on December 22 - the same day Mr Edwards was arrested.
As well as the Claremont killings he has also been charged with two sex attacks including the rape of a 17-year-old girl kidnapped from Claremont in 1995 and another attack at the home of a Huntingdale woman in 1988.
