Australian Metro Media generates content for Fairfax Media’s major mastheads across all media platforms, reaching highly-engaged audiences and providing advertisers with a huge range of media solutions.

Allen Williams leads Australian Publishing Media (APM), which includes two business divisions - Australian Metro Media (AMM) and Australian Community Media (ACM).

The AMM division is responsible for major mastheads The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, The Australian Financial Review, The Canberra Times, brisbanetimes.com.au, WAtoday.com.au, among many others, as well niche websites such as essentialbaby.com.au and executivestyle.com.au. 

Tom Armstrong is responsible for the commercial operations of AMM, which includes a centralised national sales team that provides clients with a huge range of advertising solutions.

Agency Sales

Core Purpose:
To deliver advertising revenue from clients using media agencies (predominantly large, national advertisers).

Areas of responsibility:

  • Agency sales for all AMM media assets in NSW, QLD, SA, VIC & WA
  • Agency sales for Digital Ventures media assets in NSW, QLD, SA, VIC & WA*
  • Direct sales in QLD, SA & WA**
  • Digital DRX/D&A sales team^

Direct Sales

Core Purpose:
To deliver advertising revenue directly from clients not using media agencies (predominantly SME’s).

Areas of responsibility:

  • Direct sales for all AMM media assets
  • Employment sales
  • General Classifieds

Brands & Audiences

Core Purpose:
Act as dedicated brand champions for Fairfax AMM by working closely with product and editorial teams to deliver innovative content and audience integration opportunities for advertisers.
