A teacher has shared a clip of her fourth grade students rapping their way through long division - and just a warning: it's extremely catchy.
Nadine S. Ebri, who teaches at La Core Christian Elementary in Jacksonville, Florida, uploaded the video to her Facebook page, along with the caption, "I always heard that teachers dreaded teaching long division. Well, not anymore! My students made this song up! They're seriously the most crunk class ever!"
The video has been viewed an astonishing 14 million times and has garnered over 30,000 comments.
Ms Ebri told The Huffington Post that she captured the footage of her students rapping during her first lesson on long division.
"I was teaching my students about the steps to a long division problem when a student began to beat," Ms Ebri said. "I assume that I was repeating the steps in a way that made it sound 'rap-like.' We then turned it into a song."
And what a catchy song it is.
As a little girl prepares to solve a maths problem, her classmates chant: "Divide, multiply, subtract, bring it on down and bring it on back."
Ms Ebri said she hopes the video shows teachers the importance of relating to students - particularly in an urban community.
"There is a difference between being 'bad' and simply being 'bored,'" she explained. "Most students are bored with the traditional way of teaching, causing them to act out in class."
