Chaleo Yoovidhya (Thai: เฉลียว อยู่วิทยา, rtgs: Chaliao Yuwitthaya, Thai pronunciation: [ʨʰàlǐːaw jùːwíttʰájaː]; born 17 August 1923; died on 17 March 2012) was a Thai businessman and investor. He was the originator of Krating Daeng (กระทิงแดง) and was co-creator of the Red Bull brands of energy drinks. At the time of his death in 2012 at the age of 88, he was listed as the third-richest person in Thailand, with an estimated net worth of US$5 billion.
Various news sources suggest Chaleo was born in Central Thailand at some point between 1922 and 1932, to a poor Thai-Chinese family that raised ducks and traded fruit in Phichit. His father was an immigrant from Hainan.
With little formal education, he worked for his parents, then moved to Bangkok. He became an antibiotics salesman, before quitting to set up his own small pharmaceutical company, TC Pharmaceuticals, in the early 1960s. Later, after a claimed stroke of "divine inspiration", he developed an energy-boosting beverage that was first introduced in 1976. The logo depicts two large, red bulls charging each other, which are not cattle, but wild gaur, a bovine species native to Southeast Asia called krathing (กระทิง) in Thai.
Red Bull is an energy drink sold by Austrian company Red Bull GmbH, created in 1987. In terms of market share, Red Bull is the highest-selling energy drink in the world, with 5.387 billion cans sold in 2013.
Austrian entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz was inspired by an existing energy drink named Krating Daeng, which was first invented and sold in Thailand. He took this idea, modified the ingredients to suit the tastes of Westerners, and, in partnership with Chaleo Yoovidhya, founded Red Bull GmbH in 1987 in Chakkapong, Thailand. In Thai, daeng means red, and krating is the large bovine called "gaur". Red Bull is sold in a tall and slim blue-silver can, while Krating Daeng is in a gold shorter can. The two are different products, produced separately.
The Red Bull company slogan is "Red Bull gives you wings", and the product is marketed through advertising, events (Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, Red Bull Air Race, Red Bull Crashed Ice), sports team ownerships (RB Leipzig, FC Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull Brasil, New York Red Bulls, Red Bull Racing, Scuderia Toro Rosso), celebrity endorsements, and music, through its record label Red Bull Records.
A bull is an intact (i.e., not castrated) adult male of the species Bos taurus (cattle). More muscular and aggressive than the female of the species, the cow, the bull has long been an important symbol in many cultures, and plays a significant role in both beef and dairy farming, and in a variety of other cultural activities.
The female counterpart to a bull is a cow, while a male of the species which has been castrated is a steer, ox or bullock, although in North America this last term refers to a young bull, and in Australia to a draught animal. Usage of these terms varies considerably with area and dialect. Colloquially, people unfamiliar with cattle may refer to both castrated and intact animals as "bulls".
A wild, young, unmarked bull is known as a micky in Australia. Improper or late castration on a bull results in it becoming a coarse steer, also known as a stag in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. In some countries an incompletely castrated male is known also as a rig or ridgling.
The Nation is the oldest continuously published weekly magazine in the United States, a successor to William Lloyd Garrison's The Liberator. The periodical, devoted to politics and culture, is self-described as "the flagship of the left". Founded on July 6, 1865, it is published by The Nation Company, L.P., at 33 Irving Place, New York City. It is associated with The Nation Institute.
The Nation has bureaus in Washington, D.C., London, and South Africa, with departments covering architecture, art, corporations, defense, environment, films, legal affairs, music, peace and disarmament, poetry, and the United Nations. Circulation peaked at 187,000 in 2006 but by 2010 had dropped to 145,000 in print, though digital subscriptions had risen to over 15,000.
The Nation was established in July 1865 on "Newspaper Row" at 130 Nassau Street in Manhattan. The publisher was Joseph H. Richards, and the editor was Edwin Lawrence Godkin, an immigrant from Ireland who had formerly worked as a correspondent of the London Daily News and The New York Times. Godkin, a classical liberal, sought to establish what one sympathetic commentator later characterized as "an organ of opinion characterized in its utterance by breadth and deliberation, an organ which should identify itself with causes, and which should give its support to parties primarily as representative of these causes."

RED BULL INVENTOR DIES AT AGE 89 // BREAKING WORLD NEWS BILLIONAIRE Chaleo Yoovidhya, the co-founder of energy drink Red Bull and the second richest man in Thailand, has died at the age of 89, a company spokeswoman said. Mr Chaleo was Thailand's second richest man, with a fortune of $5 billion last year according to business magazine Forbes, having fallen from the top spot on its annual list which he held in 2009. According to local reports he was born into a poor Sino-Thai family in the northern province of Phichit who made their living from duck farming and fruit trading.
With Felix Baumgartner's stratospheric reentry finally successful, Forbes' Chris Smith and Brandon Solomon discuss the thinking behind RedBull's extreme marketing campaigns.
Dietrich Mateschitz was working in Asia when he came across Krating Deang, a caffeine-filled energy drink sold throughout the region. Wanting to bring it back to Austria, he approached Chaleo Yoovidhya of TC Pharmaceutical Company, the creator of Krating Deang. Together they reformulated Krating Deang into Red Bull. Mateschitz spent 3 years working on the formula and developing the strategy for Red Bull. He took a health tonic, and made the drink less syrupy but more fizzy and packaged it into a sleek and slim can, touting it as a drink that can enhance performance. Red Bull was launched in 1987 with positive responses from the marketplace. It was connected to extreme sports, the hippest bars, vintage aeroplanes and acrobatic teams, to every kind of motor-racing and adventure sport. Re...

Greg is a really fascinating guy with a super interesting story. I have to be honest…he’s actually a little intimidating because he is completely a next level entrepreneur from anything I’m use to. She went like that
She went without a word
The rant inside is beating me slowly
She left, I don't know why she went
Without a word
What could I do
The sun won't shine no more
Won't shine not anymore
Not anymore
I thought this could not happen
I was so assured to be
Should be immune
I know it's not like you say
The heart that broke in May
Won't mend in June
The wound is too large too deep
My nights bring me no sleep
My days are slow
I know my life ain’t over
I know I will recover
I'll be fine soon
I'm about to beg her to come back
She would be too glad to see me cry
My life is low
I don't care who she might be with today
I guess I had to lose her anyway
I'll be fine soon
I'm fine about her new life
I don't wanna waste success tonight
My days are slow
I know my life ain't over
I know I will recover
I'll be fine soon
