Gilmore Girls' fans just got the best news they've had in a while - an official date to pencil in their diaries for the 2016 reboot.
The popular show originally ran from October 2000 to May 2007 and now the world has a confirmed release date and a cute teaser trailer, which was posted on the Gilmore Girls Twitter feed on July 28.
The revival is set to air on Netflix on November 25, and social media channels are abuzz with the news.
November 25: Miraculously, a date that absolutely no one in Stars Hollow has a conflict with. #AYearintheLifehttps://t.co/EIB96t54cF

The sneak peek stars both original main characters, Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham), engaging in what they do best: pointless but endearing banter. This time, the mother/daughter duo are in deep discussion over whether or not Amy Schumer would like Lorelai.
After viewing the clip herself, the comedian responded to the light-hearted quip between the characters with a good-humoured and slightly risqué tweet in acknowledgement.
I've only done 2 water sports and they took pictures of it both times. I promise I usually just lay there (sex too) https://t.co/yTQRvIBgqm

The release date coincides perfectly with Thanksgiving weekend in the US, ensuring high viewer numbers as many take time off work to relax with family.
People are taking to Twitter to express their excitement:
