Rascal Flatts are kicking 2017 into high gear with the release of their new single "Yours If You Want It." Co-written by the late Andrew Dorff (who passed away late last year) and Jonathan Singleton (David Nail, Tyler Farr), the glossy pop-country anthem samples the group's forthcoming new studio album, tentatively scheduled for later this year. "There’s one more sip in this bottle of wine, a lonely star hangin’ in the sky with a wish left on it," Gary LeVox details on the first verse, his vocals gliding across the melody with ease. "And it’s yours if you want it--and this wildflower from the neighbor’s yard, a real slow dance in the moonlight dark, this hand in my pocket, oh baby, just call it...'cause it’s yours if you want it."

They then unleash quite the toe-tapping chorus line, "Every bit of love left in this beat up, banged up, scarred up heart, that’s been waitin’ on a girl like you. And I know it ain’t much but it comes alive with every touch, every kiss already feels like you own it. Baby, it’s yours if you want it."

“We all felt like ‘Yours If You Want It’ was the perfect way to introduce our fans and radio to the new music we’ve been making,” says bandmate Jay DeMarcus in a press statement. “We’ve been working really hard and we’re very proud of this track and what’s more, the late Andrew Dorff is a writer on it, and we are so honored to be a small part of making sure his legacy lives on. We have a special angel watching over it, for sure.”

The band's new album follows 2014's Rewind, which contains such hit singles as "Riot" and "I Like the Sound of That."

Last fall, Rascal Flatts released their first-ever Christmas album, The Greatest Gift of All. “We decided this past year that we were going to do a classic-style Christmas album, and really put some time into it,” guitarist Joe Don Rooney told Billboard. “We had enough time off in the summer that it worked out perfect. We were between country projects. We hired a guy named Tim Akers, who used to play keys for us on the road, who is with Vince Gill now. He’s a phenomenal conductor and arranger, but also an unbelievable musician. We sent him the songs that we wanted to do and told him he could arrange them any way he wanted to. There were no rules. We were taking a no-holds-barred kind of approach. He sent us back little work tapes, of just him on the piano and some charts. Jay and I started listening to them, and we thought it was incredible. It was exactly what we wanted to do.”

The band plays the Ryman Auditorium on Monday (Jan. 9). Check out current tour dates on their official website.
