Country's resident genre-breaker Sam Hunt continues to shatter the mold. The singer, who dropped a new song called "Drinkin' Too Much" earlier this week, is slated to play Houston's new Club Nomadic, dubbed "a traveling nightclub," Feb. 2. EDM-pop duo The Chainsmokers (known for such hits as "Don't Let Me Down" and the Halsey-assisted "Closer") have also been enlisted to perform.

The two new acts join Bruno Mars (Feb. 3) and pop titan Taylor Swift (Feb. 4) in performances the week of the Super Bowl at the new venue. Reportedly, the three-tiered nightclub is located in Houston's Art District and is expected to hold 9,000 concertgoers. "Our goal is to have an amazing venue," says Club Nomadic operator Jack Muphy. “It’s built in a way that I can get past the building codes, I can work with the city on noise ordinances, make sure our TPA and our fire and police and capacities are met because I have a certain amount of people to entertain throughout the weekend."

Following the 2017 Super Bowl, Club Nomadic will close and pop up somewhere completely different. "We will pack this thing up and move it to another city," Murphy says.

Tickets go on-sale Saturday (Jan. 7) and run $100-$275.

Hunt made quite a bit of noise with the 2014 release of his long-awaited debut album, Montevallo, which has spawned numerous chart hits such as "Take Your Time" and "Break up in a Small Town." After earning a pair of Grammy nominations last year, he decided to take some time for his now- fiance Hannah Lee Fowler and to travel the world.  “It’s nice to have a little more balance in my life now. You know, I’ve blocked a lot more time this year to be around the house and to create opportunities to go back home and see my folks if I want to one week or take a little getaway vacation one week. Those opportunities are there, but I have, for the most part, filled up most of that time with being in the studio and writing," he said. "So, I’m working as hard, but I’m just working on different things now. I shouldn’t call it work, because touring is a whole lotta fun, and writing songs, I would do that if I wasn’t making any money doing it. So, it’s something I really enjoy, but it is nice to have time…have a choice in the situation about what I’m going to do with it. So, it’s been nice, and I’ve gotten to see my folks and hang with my buddies and catch up with people I didn’t get to see as much last year.”

Hunt is expected to drop his sophomore album later this year.
