Bellator MMA flyweight sensation Ilima-Lei "The Ilimanator" Macfarlane (5-0) made a major fashion statement over the weekend, sporting an adorable bunny onesie during a bar crawl in California.

The undefeated Hawaiian took to Instagram to post a photo of the outfit, as well as her bar-hopping shenanigans. Elsewhere in the pic, in what Macfarlane dubbed the "Onesie Barcrawl 2016," former XFC star Pearl Gonzalez and UFC bantamweight talent Liz "Girl-Rilla" Carmouche make cameo appearances.

Gonzalez, 30, rocked Denver Broncos adult pajamas, while Carmouche also donned a onesie of some kind. Macfarlane wrote on Instagram that she was impressed a random person recognized her for her Bellator appearances on Spike, and equally pleased about having no issues wearing such a goofy outfit to a bar.

What should fight fans take away from this ridiculousness? First of all, Macfarlane is proof that MMA has officially shed its tough guy image. Can you imagine MMA legends such as Chuck Liddell or Tank Abbott hitting the town in a onesie while they were in their prime? Absolutely not.

Back in the day, MMA was all about looking mean, intimidating and menacing. Guys wore TapOut and Affliction shirts, and tried their hardest to look tough. These days, the sport appeals to just about everyone, including fun-loving, bar-hopping women. Heading into 2017, MMA is officially entering the smiles business, keeping things fun and light, while kicking mean-mugging to the curb.

The thing is, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Macfarlane, Gonzalez and Carmouche do their part to reel in the non-traditional sports fan, people who may not otherwise be interested in MMA. Sometimes, girls just want to have fun. Bellator and the UFC will be hoping the ladies' silly style will translate to massive ratings and big sales at the box office.
